Sosua Pimp it can be hard to say with those tires. If they still look good and tread depth is good I’d keep them but from what I’ve heard and seen it seems like close to 30k on the stock tires it might be time to look at them closely. If you’re not burning out or doing hard corners they should last pretty well. But I’d be extra careful since your car is a beast and needs good tires 👍

I've recently traded my 2015 Mustang GT in for a 2018 Camaro! I got the Hotwheel Edition, though. 😉 All I gotta do now, is get the rest of the money to pay up on it, and get it delivered, since I'm living out of state. But I'm one happy Girl right now. Lol!

Loving it. Color of mine is “Summit White” and is a 2018 2SS. Did spot a difference though with the exhaust. Mine has dual exhaust yet only two outlets instead of four. Not sure why that is with factory build and model.

I just got my 2SS and I had a 1999 Firebird Transam and the Firebird has more blind spots than the Camaro does. So I’m happy with the car and I don’t believe that it’s got that much of a blind spot at all. Jmo

I was considering buying a Corvette next year but for the price of this vehicle and the performance and sound, I think I changed my mind. I'm gonna get a Camaro. Lol
The lean in on the Media Display is to cut down on light reflection not only during daylight but at night as well. I use a tablet in my Acadia using a mounting bracket in the CD player slot. Anything greater than 90° or leaning into the dash, the ambient light washes out the display making it almost impossible to read anything on it...The same thing applies at night with headlights behind you.

Hi, here commenting five years later, I am looking to buying a 2018 Camaro 2ss but it has been very difficult to find the color I want and I have only found it in the 2017 model, could someone please tell me what the difference are between the 2018 and the 2017 models……. I own a 2107 2SS and the NVH is pretty bad but I loved the way the car drove so much I compromised and figured I’d eventually switch out the run flats which I’m told are the culprit.

Every time I drive my mine (sunny days only) I get giddy. This car is so much fun. I’ve owned 3rd gen Irocs and a 4th gen Z28 and the 6th gen 2SS is better in every aspect. The interior is beautiful the performance is crazy and the exterior styling is sexy and angry. I love my 17 2SS convertible auto!!
The 1le has 6 piston brakes and bigger rears too. The ones on this model are actually quite amazing with a track pad. Amazing track car. Mine is the same as this but 1ss and lives on the track and auto x.

You know what’s funny? When I was young I loved the Ford Mustang Shelby and thought the camero was an ugly car. Now I love the camero so much and ask myself how is the Ford Mustang better. I can’t wait to get a camero!
I wish we could have nice cars like that over here in the UK! Just to fill the Camaro up in the UK we'd have to pay $122 rather than the US average of about $57! Even at a more respectable 15mpg (rather than the 5.9mpg shown in the vid) i'd still only get about 285 miles on a full tank. In comparison, my Mercedes would get about 960 miles if the tank was as big as the Camaros.
Maybe if you got a Camaro RS with a (24 valve DOHC) V6? Still plenty quick - 335HP, 20" wheels with 245/40 tires for razor-sharp handling. The exhaust even sounds great

Better off with 2002 Firebird/Trans Am (esp WS6). Last year of Firebird, collector car. I was going to buy a 2002 Camaro Z28 SS for the same reason. Boy, would I have been pissed in 2010, when they started making them again...
Thanks for the review! I have the 2012 ls v6, and am going to get the v8 model soon. Not sure which gen I will get, but I really like the tech in this year model. Hopefully the manual is as nice.
BTW, you're driving a 2017 - can tell by the "Fifty" on the bottom of steering wheel. 2018 says "SS" there. I bought one identical to this one, except it's blue with black seats, but same options: mag-ride, dual-mode exhaust, nav, sunroof. Being retired, I don't commute anymore, but I've found I take the long way to run errands. I'll order dinner, then leave immediately and drive about 16 miles, stopping on the way back for the food, then driving the 3 miles home. ; )

I personally love the 5th Gen body style more than the 6th Gen ! But the 6th Gen is all around a better car performance wise. The 6 Gen lost a lot of weight & able to Accelerate faster with no lag due to its weight. Plus the exhaust sounds good which makes it a better car than the 5th gen. If only the 5th Gen was the same weight as the 6 Gen & have better exhaust. The 6 Gen V6’s are fast as hell for a V6 0 to 60 in 5.1 seconds ??? That’s extremely good ! I love V8s but you gotta give the little brother (V6) some love I bet in two years when chevy put out a new 7th Gen V6’s they should hit 4.8 or 4.9. I can’t wait to trade in my 13 RS for an 17 SS
Man those V6s are pretty wild...never would expect that kind of performance especially for the price of the V6. Hope you enjoy your 17 SS when you get it 👍
After trading in my G37S on a 2SS, I saw a video (Matt Moran) really taking the V6 2LT RS through its paces and testing its limits. It seemed to handle a bit better than my SS, and the acceleration was even close. Plus, the exhaust sounded pretty mean - even without the dual-mode option! It had as much power as my old G37, and hendled as well, and is 2 tenths quicker to 60!

@@scotthill4317 Got it. :) I love it. Its great, i miss the vette but i dont regret the trade at all. Its up to you which one to choose. I like the front alot more on the 2018 and im switching the rear tail lights on it for the facelift style. The 2019 is faster though with the 10 speed but its not noticeble. I 100% recommend the 2018 :)
As a 2016 2SS Owner... You did a good job, but there is some stuff that bothers me. 2:02 The 6 piston red painted Brembo brakes, that are a optional extra on the SS, also come with 2 piece slotted floating rotors. They're also standard on the SS 1le not just the ZL1. 2:27 The 6th Generation Camaro is so much lighter than the 5th gen because it is using a completely new chassis from the ground up. It's now on the GM Alpha platform, same thing the ATS uses but tuned differently for the Camaro. 2:54 The "quad exhaust" Is called Active Exhaust or NPP Exhaust. the two inside exhausts are muffled while the outside exhausts are butterfly valved and can be opened and shut depending on driving mode. The standard dual exhaust that comes on the Camaro is fixed with no valves like any other standard exhaust. 3:10 The Magnetic Ride Control (MRC) found on the Camaro is also an option. The MRC system is also active and its sensitivity/dampening/rebound rates are all changed on the fly by changing driver modes. 3:16 There is also a button you can press next to the back-up camera above the license plate. 4:30 I'm 6'4" and i have about 4.5 inches of headroom. You need to adjust the seat better. 6:05 You can scroll down the list to Track Mode. Track mode leaves the baffle open all the time where as Sport mode only opens it under medium and above throttle. Tour mode only opens the baffles under heavy acceleration. Besides these few little knit picks i have with your information the video was good. Just please try to inform yourself a little bit better about the car your making a informational video on. I hope I didn't come off too harsh, just constructive criticism. Keep working hard and I'm sure you'll start bringing in Saabkyle and Doug Demuro numbers before long!

Prime Autotainment I don’t understand why people choose mustang over camaro. Probably visibility, storage room, trunk space, but none of these should be pumper for a performance car. I prefer that look over mustang, way much more aggressive in black color.
Yeah I get what you’re saying. I think a lot of it just comes down to brand loyalty too. I drove the Mustang right after the Camaro...and it didn’t have a performance pack but it definitely did not feel as quick or fun as the Camaro did. I’m a big fan of Camaro exterior just like you also

@@stevenrodriguez7830 yes but it's completely worth it I really like the heads up display and that cold/heat it leather seats and the Bose speakers system, also the Magnetic Ride Control suspension and the quad tip avtive exhaust it's optional for the 2ss

You know what’s funny? When I was young I loved the Ford Mustang Shelby and thought the camero was an ugly car. Now I love the camero so much and ask myself how is the Ford Mustang better. I can’t wait to get a camero!

Just to fill the Camaro up in the UK we'd have to pay $122 rather than the US average of about $57!
Even at a more respectable 15mpg (rather than the 5.9mpg shown in the vid) i'd still only get about 285 miles on a full tank. In comparison, my Mercedes would get about 960 miles if the tank was as big as the Camaros.

Maybe if you got a Camaro RS with a (24 valve DOHC) V6? Still plenty quick - 335HP, 20" wheels with 245/40 tires for razor-sharp handling. The exhaust even sounds great

If you buy 2019 you have to go lower (RS) or higher (ZL1) these were spared the radical refresh of the SS.
SteevK69 I made up my mind i am going with the 2019. I wanted the zl1 1le but chevy here don’t sell manual camaro’s all automatic if i really want one it should be special order which is a different payment more expensive so I’m going with the 2019 zl1 i am really excited about it

Thanks for the review! I have the 2012 ls v6, and am going to get the v8 model soon. Not sure which gen I will get, but I really like the tech in this year model. Hopefully the manual is as nice.
BTW, you're driving a 2017 - can tell by the "Fifty" on the bottom of steering wheel. 2018 says "SS" there.
I bought one identical to this one, except it's blue with black seats, but same options: mag-ride, dual-mode exhaust, nav, sunroof. Being retired, I don't commute anymore, but I've found I take the long way to run errands. I'll order dinner, then leave immediately and drive about 16 miles, stopping on the way back for the food, then driving the 3 miles home. ; )

I personally love the 5th Gen body style more than the 6th Gen ! But the 6th Gen is all around a better car performance wise. The 6 Gen lost a lot of weight & able to Accelerate faster with no lag due to its weight. Plus the exhaust sounds good which makes it a better car than the 5th gen. If only the 5th Gen was the same weight as the 6 Gen & have better exhaust. The 6 Gen V6’s are fast as hell for a V6 0 to 60 in 5.1 seconds ??? That’s extremely good ! I love V8s but you gotta give the little brother (V6) some love I bet in two years when chevy put out a new 7th Gen V6’s they should hit 4.8 or 4.9. I can’t wait to trade in my 13 RS for an 17 SS
Man those V6s are pretty wild...never would expect that kind of performance especially for the price of the V6. Hope you enjoy your 17 SS when you get it 👍
After trading in my G37S on a 2SS, I saw a video (Matt Moran) really taking the V6 2LT RS through its paces and testing its limits. It seemed to handle a bit better than my SS, and the acceleration was even close. Plus, the exhaust sounded pretty mean - even without the dual-mode option! It had as much power as my old G37, and hendled as well, and is 2 tenths quicker to 60!
@21:15 brembo brakes are standard on ALL SS models 1ss and 2ss, they not standard on the 4cyn, and v6 versions.

@@scotthill4317 Got it. :) I love it. Its great, i miss the vette but i dont regret the trade at all. Its up to you which one to choose. I like the front alot more on the 2018 and im switching the rear tail lights on it for the facelift style. The 2019 is faster though with the 10 speed but its not noticeble. I 100% recommend the 2018 :)

As a 2016 2SS Owner... You did a good job, but there is some stuff that bothers me.
2:02 The 6 piston red painted Brembo brakes, that are a optional extra on the SS, also come with 2 piece slotted floating rotors. They're also standard on the SS 1le not just the ZL1.
2:27 The 6th Generation Camaro is so much lighter than the 5th gen because it is using a completely new chassis from the ground up. It's now on the GM Alpha platform, same thing the ATS uses but tuned differently for the Camaro.
2:54 The "quad exhaust" Is called Active Exhaust or NPP Exhaust. the two inside exhausts are muffled while the outside exhausts are butterfly valved and can be opened and shut depending on driving mode. The standard dual exhaust that comes on the Camaro is fixed with no valves like any other standard exhaust.
3:10 The Magnetic Ride Control (MRC) found on the Camaro is also an option. The MRC system is also active and its sensitivity/dampening/rebound rates are all changed on the fly by changing driver modes.
3:16 There is also a button you can press next to the back-up camera above the license plate.
4:30 I'm 6'4" and i have about 4.5 inches of headroom. You need to adjust the seat better.
6:05 You can scroll down the list to Track Mode. Track mode leaves the baffle open all the time where as Sport mode only opens it under medium and above throttle. Tour mode only opens the baffles under heavy acceleration.
Besides these few little knit picks i have with your information the video was good. Just please try to inform yourself a little bit better about the car your making a informational video on. I hope I didn't come off too harsh, just constructive criticism.

Prime Autotainment I don’t understand why people choose mustang over camaro. Probably visibility, storage room, trunk space, but none of these should be pumper for a performance car. I prefer that look over mustang, way much more aggressive in black color.
Yeah I get what you’re saying. I think a lot of it just comes down to brand loyalty too. I drove the Mustang right after the Camaro...and it didn’t have a performance pack but it definitely did not feel as quick or fun as the Camaro did. I’m a big fan of Camaro exterior just like you also
Good video , but disagree on the tilted down screen, at night it doesn’t glare on your face and it’s still easy visible , Drive a car with the screen pointed at you and you’ll appreciate the difference

It’s just from the camera and LED lights. It doesn’t do it in person...just sometimes shows up on the camera like that
