I want to tell you that when we were residing in Alaska. Was I in heaven to find the plantains in the Asian store. Don’t worry about the color or when it’s getting ripe. We love it. For the dole bananas, it’s a whole lot better to make banana bread when the bananas are over ripe. The natural sweetness of the bananas comes out. Young man, we truly appreciated it. No waste. Thank you and your company. Heavenly thanks to the costa Ricans for their bananas and their hearts into all the hard work. Love you all!!

As a costarican, I can tell you that those bananas are tasteless, we get here the "not export quality" in the markets and they are so much better, more flavor, not chemically ripened, imperfect with brown spots on the skin, like the ones he said should have been tossed, those are still good, the 7 which he said is used for banana bread is still not ripe enough. Industrialized banana plantations are killing the soils and polluting the water sources, they certainly create jobs but at a very high cost for the people, when he explained the packaging process, he forgot to mention they use chemicals to slow the ripening process so it can endure the freight to the ports and overseas to Europe for example, they are just a level down to the pineapple industry which is the worst culture for the environment, it is all a bittersweet feeling, fruit industry is quite complex and not as bright as shown here.
