Ton o fun. Evybod bringing fings, feets n faves to the summit. Utterly joyous. Best wishes to all still here and heartfelt losses to those who've gone. Swing it. BEND it!
Hello Jeff: The Ashmore family in Dallas is split from 2 brothers who came from Farmersville TX. and whose parents were immigrants from Lebanon. In Dallas the two families started linen supply and laundry businesses. One the Sunshine and the other Peerless. I too had an Uncle George. He was one of the original boys of Abraham and Sadie Ashmore born in Farmersviille. All the 13 boys and girls have passed now. But there are still 3 George A. Ashmores. Me , my son and my cousin (son of George Sr brother). Thanks for your comment.
What a fun time sitting around and jamming with the guys. I love to play Christmas music and it is difficult since it does not get played often. Thanks to George Ashmore for the video and Mark Greenway setting up the jam. All songs were unrehearsed so there are some errors. It is funny how this song changed 3 or 4 times but it was all in good fun.
I was watching this and saw the guy in black.. I thought man he favors David Wright. Then l heard him play and thought man that sounds like David Wright. Then l saw the closing credits.. well what do you know! Boy he sure can play. And what tone!.. fantastic job to everyone, boys!
Thank you. David is a fantastic steel player and has great personality. If you listen to the first of the video you can hear our conversation which I always thought was funny.
Yes Jason, David is a treasure. He is also my reluctant Instructor. Getting a handle on the Bb6th is a hoot, and really sounds good when I hit it right. Which is not very often. check him out on some of my other videos on th-cam.com/users/petnrdx1
