I actually saw this episode and I saw the episode when Ben offered the trade to a contestant, the contestant didn't take the trade. So Ben said "Let's see what would have happened if you did take the trade." Then the contestant knocked the Jackpot counter into the Win Zone along with a Double Counter.
I bet that contestant was kicking themselves

I think that when the public play, they get bumped.
Here's why:
If you have £3000 and run out of counters then you get the option to gamble your £3000 to have another 3 counters at the 10k counter, but if you get the jackpot counter out before being offered the trade then you still lose your £3000. It should be Jackpot plus earnings!!

@@-________-9267 but again... the double was on the edge. And that silver fell. A bit of lateral movement could of sent it. And sometimes they go close. Like 1 and 2. Who knows. They put them in random spots. Maybe there will be a double double drop

Where was Clive from?
Youknow if a contestant who has won and goes through to to the final and they go t a drop zone with the double counter in it and the double counter before the jackpot goes over they should put the double back in the machine like they do with the doubles and mysteries when they fall to the win zone out of play so that’s what they should do with the double at the end of the game 2 but still add the double to there money if it does go over but also put it back into the machine so they have a bigger chance of getting a lot of money and they could even put more doubles in the machine

You’d never believe what happened on tipping point before ever a contestant had the jackpot and double on top of each other basically they were both on the bottom shelf and they basically must’ve been close to the edge cause he took the trade and he lost it 😢😢😢😢

What I find annoying about this show is Ben Shepherd himself!! He false laughter raising his shoulders and a stupid grin!! Just like Ted Heath used to do!!! And making verbal comments when the counter almost tips other counters over the edge, And when asking questions in one minute, And at the end belittling each content by telling them the answers like some brain of Britain winner, And why can't ITV let the running up keep the money!! What they can't afford it!!🤔🤣👍
And this is why they rig now so a double is nowhere near a jackpot now

its not wierd at all, i worked on the show, on camera cooking, thats why i was there, but the producers thought i needed better clothes, so they paid for new clothes and sent ben to take me out and style me. it was quite exciting really@@thomascorrie-mt5ps
i was only 21, and was cooking food on the lorraine show for a while, ben was a bit older, so they made him take me out shopping to get more "in style" stuff than i was wearing, ben was young himself too, in his early to mid 20's
He does seem to be genuine when on tv.

I was actually up my aunties when the episode was on, the man didn't take the trade he took about 3000 and then they both fell, he pretended not to care but you could tell he was crying inside
To be honest though, where the coin falls is completely random, so it’s just as likely that he could’ve taken the trade and got nothing

I don't know Clive or Ben (but, I was a contestant on TP a few years ago so I know Ben a tiny bit but was kicked off in the first round so wasn't on long but long enough to know he's a really nice chap) but it seems to me that the 20k couldn't have gone to a nicer person. Well deserved and I hope you enjoy/enjoyed it Clive.
