Like many of you I'm old skool, 52 now and I remember it all starting, wild goose chases for raves happening in random places, all to evade the law and so we could take whatever we wanted and dance until morning and sometimes until the next. What amazing times I've had from a few hundred in a barn to hundreds of thousands on a beach, in the mountains of wales to a warehouse in Koln,. Club Kinetic in Stoke if any remember was a usual haunt. So much love and so many things to keep me awake . Who knows I may have even hugged and danced with one or two of you some time over the years ❤
Your in good company. I am 51, i remember my first show back in 93 in Dallas, TX at the Lizard Lounge ..John Digweed, that set the course for the rest of my life for love of dance music. My first Trance show was in 94 and was Paul Oakenfold when i was working in the UK, that changed my life.

Nothing better than plugging in, turning off and just listening to Armin, Avicci, Robert Miles and a like. 35 now and my brothers introduced me to rave(back then) when i was 9 or 10. I will never stop listening and loving this music, from hard electro to mellow dance and everything in between. Plug me in, turn off the lights, crank the volume, sit back or get up and dance. LOVE IT!

Some of the few good memories of my abusive childhood involve this music and my grandad who used to love listening to it. He was the only adult in my life that didn't abuse me back then, so trance music has always held a very special place in my heart.
Cherrish the good memories and let go of the bad ones, and if you're able to, then just be one with the music and let it guide you towards happier thoughts. I know exactly what you're saying my childhood ended up with me having a psychotic breakdown and trance was the only happy thing I had. It definitely saved my life as I couldn't find the strength to fight the horrors but this always make me happy with any situation hope you're life is at last peaceful and happy and thank you for your courage to speak I am less lonely knowing that there is healing in this world thank you ❤

Great mix. I've been listening to trance since the early 90's. Back in the 80's it was very uncool to listen to your parents music. Now many of the younger generations have inherited great music taste from Generation-X who lived through the 80's. Trance is one of the few, if only music to completely transcend all languages, nationalities, and age groups. You don't see the rest of the non-English speaking world coming together for Country, Rap, or heavy Metal. Thank you.

Like many of the people commenting here, I am also in my retirement years. In fact, I never listened to this type of music in my teens and twenties. I discovered these sounds by being taken to clubs after work nights outs and finding this stuff was 'right up my alley', so to speak....at the age of 50! What a happy accident that was. Like many of the people commenting here, I am also in my retirement years.
In fact, I never listened to this type of music in my teens and twenties.
I discovered these sounds by being taken to clubs after work nights outs
and finding this stuff was 'right up my alley', so to speak....at the age of 50!
