- Under Norma Lewis' name, Lynda Lawrence of The Supremes had "Life Is The Reason".. On the Hot Productions CD, "The Best Of Norma Lewis", Lynda sings lead on the first five songs ("Life Is The Reason", "You've Got Something", "(Give Me Back) Just A Little Piece Of My Heart", "Make Your Own Kind Of Music", "When Loving You"), and the next five songs are by another singer. The songs "Maybe This Time" and "The Fight (For The Single Family)" are the biggest hits recorded under the name Norma Lewis, but these aren't Lynda's vocals.

Hi, I was the producer of Life Is The Reason...and the owner of ERC. Lynda did in fact soing Life is The Reason but there are long circumstances as to why. For reference she did NOT sing Give Me Right Back My Heart. That was pure Norma Lewis as was Break Me and Catch Me which was released as Marsha Raven

It's a "High Energy" music theme with a lot of harmony and a relatively sentimental and very sensual female voice, it reminds me of my school days, when high school girls threw compliments and took the initiative in the link!!!!

@MrJamzyboi You are welcome, I also have a friend who lives in NYC and worked for the music industry for yrs and told me once about some singers recording music and never got credit, someone else did instead!. Yes ! to me Lynda should have got the credit, but I am sure these misteries we will never understand well ( to me a lot of money was involved). xoxo

I found that out through a message someone left me saying Lynda recorded Life is the reason and Norma took the credit..............Things we don't understand, but they happened a lot before. Anyway, to me it was Norma the recording artist, so I researched on the net after this guy wrote me a message and then I posted that note. I have to leave Norma's name because tha'st the way the record was printed....................xoxo
