Alastor is stronger than Adam, the only reason Alastor got defeated is because he was over confident.
I’d say Adam has stronger powers in terms of killing but with how Adam uses them and how Alastor fights, Alastor wins since he would just dodge Adam’s attacks similar to how Lucifer did and strike back with his own powers along with being able to leave if he ever needs to
