Off season cultivation of Coriander | Profitable farming of Coriander | Crop Reformer

  • Coriander is a very important and useful crop of Punjab. Fresh leaves of coriander are used in SALAN making through out the year. Normally it is planted from October to April in major parts of Punjab. May to September sowing become almost impossible due to very high temperature. During this period, coriander is mainly planted on Soan valley near Katha sagra where temperature is not as harsh as in the central and south Punjab. This off season coriander may produce fresh coriander of 2-10 lac rupees per acre. This year, the temperature of May is not very high and chance of late sown coriander may be availed in most parts of Punjab. In this video, we have highlighted some of the compulsory conditions which should be kept in view for the successful planting of off season coriander.
