Another great video Josh thanks. I noticed you have your SPOTs hanging from something on the right side of the cockpit. Those things are awesome to have, but only if you can actually get to them when needed. If you go down in rough terrain, there is no telling where the SPOT will end up, and if your or your partner will be physically able to get to it. FYI, I just received my Aviation 101 hat, Tshirt, and kneeboard pad. Thanks.

Only 6500’ cruise altitude across MN and SD? I fly a turbo Mooney as well, and I rarely cruise below 10,000’, because she loves thin air... I’m guessing you had some pretty strong headwinds keeping you down low? Beautiful footage of the western scenery. I’m really enjoying this series so far. Well done!
Man. Yellowstone is gorgeous. I was there, nearly 20 years ago. Since then I've started a career, and developed a fondness for photography. I'd love to go back, armed with my camera

Josh, that was some of the most beautiful footage I've seen in a while, from any youtube channel. Coupled with the awesome flying clips, just a great video. Well Done.
Very much enjoyed your trip so far. The music was perfect for the shots and the video work was very enjoyable. The fires and smoke were really bad in the summer of 2020 out on the west coast, not to mention the whole cov1d situation.
When you did (and published) your trip or adventure to Alaska, I though that there would not be any more places like that. The only place I really had in my mind, which might be as epic as the Alaska was, was the Yellowstone park. I haven't been to any of those place (in fact even in US), so I could only think about it, but this episode just confirmed my expectations. Thanks for all your work Josh!
I'M sure you understood that you are in a vocanic activity zone. Many of the spots you visited are on the Red List for volcanic possibilites, thats why we go ! Exciting ! 😎
Ha! Pipestone, MN! I have family there! When you said you were going to find food I chuckled and thought to myself, he’s not gonna find much! But you found a MN gem, the DQ. And that wind... it’s like that all the time :)
Our accents in MN are hit and miss unless you are waaay up north. But I guess to someone who isn't from here, we all have strong accents. :) Interesting timing with Mt. Rushmore; I just flew there in the sim and it looks exactly the same. Crazy. It's a gorgeous trip, but how you do it without a significant other is beyond me. I would find it so lonely. I have travelled with friends before, and it's just not the same as with an s/o.
Best part of flying over South Dakota and not driving I-90 is you don't have to read the million Wall Drug signs. Hahaha and yeah East South Dakota is nothing to look at, but the Black Hills in the west are gorgeous. Always cool to see familiar places in videos.

It's always a bonus when, after you get to see it from the air, you get to spend time enjoying it on the surface as well.
Did this trip back in 2008 in an O300 172 & a 152 and stopped at Spearfish for the Badlands, Mt Rushmore (do the ceremony at night), and Devil's Tower on the ground before proceeding to land at Cody and drive into the park. Spectacular scenery both in the air and on the ground.
As always Josh your videography is stellar and always leaves me breathless, but this was just amazing to see. Thank you so much for sharing these videos with us. I can't wait to see the next ones you put out to us.
Well done!
Favorite series yet, well done!
Excellent great editing and sharing it with us
Man. Yellowstone is gorgeous. I was there, nearly 20 years ago. Since then I've started a career, and developed a fondness for photography. I'd love to go back, armed with my camera
Nice flight, great aerial views, and scenery!
I remember all the times going to Old Faithful in the 1970s and there maybe 30 people watching the geyser.. Wow, there are sooo many people there now!
Really enjoying the series, great video as usual!!
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing. Fly safe and keep up the good work!
I suggest to all: visit yellowstone in winter and do a snowmobile tour. So amazing!
flying into yellowstone in the winter in a small plane can be a real bitch.
Amazing video.. Nice work!
I Love your videos, they really inspire me I want to be a pilot so bad some day when I’m older
Same here!
I so look forward to every episode...the content and production level is top notch, thank you for all your hard work and willingness to do this so we can all share in your adventures. I also just rec'd my package from your merch shop and I love the shirt and cap and note pad, meticulous packaging and quality items, I am wearing it as I type :) Take care
I flew into and around Pipestone a couple times. I dont live too far from there. Nice little airport.
Such a nice feeling seeing KOSH, so missed it last year :)
Amazing!
You are one of the reasons that I’m going to be a pilot by this time next year. Thank you.
The park is magnificent after we got married 58 years ago we drove to the west coast and saw the same unbelievable views.
Great video.
Love your videos, keep up the amazing content.
Have you ever considered putting in a all glass cockpit in 80991
Josh, thank you, thank you, thank you! I really needed this!
Was just wearing my Aviation 101 cap today. Good stuff.
I'm planning a trip to Yellowstone. Going on a 6 day backpacking trip around Heart Lake. Can't wait. This just makes me want to go even more.
I’m a pilot myself and can’t wait to do trips like this with my friends and the editing is absolutely amazing in all of your videos
Really awesome video ,I'm happy that I subscribed ,thanks for sharing your wonderful experience .
Our accents in MN are hit and miss unless you are waaay up north. But I guess to someone who isn't from here, we all have strong accents. :)
Interesting timing with Mt. Rushmore; I just flew there in the sim and it looks exactly the same. Crazy.
It's a gorgeous trip, but how you do it without a significant other is beyond me. I would find it so lonely. I have travelled with friends before, and it's just not the same as with an s/o.
Set O2 flow to you density altitude. It can be significantly higher than indicated altitude in the summer.
I'm really enjoying this series. I noticed in this video you have two Garmin/InReach sat devices. Why two, backup perhaps?
Amazing video Josh!
Best part of flying over South Dakota and not driving I-90 is you don't have to read the million Wall Drug signs. Hahaha and yeah East South Dakota is nothing to look at, but the Black Hills in the west are gorgeous. Always cool to see familiar places in videos.
Yes, I'm that guy. At 15:40 you are looking at the runoff from Excelsior Geyser. Grand Prismatic is in the back of that complex.
Love Yellowstone.
