Its a process getting covers up on spotify. An expensive process I don't have plans on any time in the immediate future, but I am working as hard as I can to get more music up ASAP. The first ska cover I heard (and was aware of it being ska) was Powerpuff Girls + got me into ska really fast 😅 (although I mainly listen ska covers and fusions, and some punk)

6) Go into theater, watch movie with friends/family.
In my life, it was a SEGA Star Wars Trilogy arcade machine, I got a litttle further each time I played it. Unfortunately all 3 of my favorite movie theaters went out of business last year. 😢

I've been skankin since '88 and I was stoked when 3rd wave blew up in the 90's but went into a deep musical depression when punk and ska died out after 9/11, finding the Skatune Network during the pandemic last year was life changing, there's not a bad song (original or cover) on this entire channel
the thing about punk and ska punk, it never dies. It's just in a slumber.

I always have to laugh at the (on display) energy level difference between Jer and the drummer, Which is *not* a dig on their talent or skill, they've got that in spades, just a very different approach to performing.
Just love how chilled out the drummer is!
But the skatune band is so consistent. The guitar, bass, trombone, etc carry the same hype and energy! Very impressed by their talent!
I agree , it was the first performer that tuned me in to continue watching till the end then the drummer showed up & I was like bummer .
He looks like a young Bun E. Carlos, but dressed more casually.
Every ska band needs one performer who absolutely slays their instrument but is 100% chill no matter how hard they slap, and one extra hype performer who never slows down no matter how fast they've been bouncing around the stage. So it is written.

Saw Cascada live once, I ended up losing the people I went in with and made friends with a drunk guy who tried on my glasses. I danced and had a great time with that guy and even fell for him a bit but I never got his number so I don’t think I’ll ever meet him again. I don’t look back on it sadly though because it was a magical night.
