Love videos like these, as i am looking for inspiration for my upcoming e46 project it seems it's quite tough to find any good quality videos on youtube for enthusiasts. Keep it up!
Are you able to remove the oilpump from the engine with welded nut, by just releasing the bolts from the block and not cutting the chain?? I want to weld my oil pump nut too, but need to bring my pump to someone for welding as I can’t do it myself. So I need to go reverse way and build in fully assambled oil pump incl. welded nut without cutting the chain. Thanks!
Your best bet is to get a wired oil pump nut. Then you don’t have to worry about welding. I think you can unblolt the whole pump assembly, but I can’t say without having tried it myself.
wait so this gonna sound dumb but do you need the original dme box from the engine you’re swapping in or is it mostly plug and play? i know you need the harness but wb the dme and ecu
Hey tenza! I was the guy who won the auxito giveaway in 3rd place but the stuff I got sent doesn’t seem like they work for an E46. Do they not sell E46 interior lights anymore?

nice video! will be swapping a b30 video into my 325ci soon
Nice 👍 it’s a great swap. Easy way to make more hp and torque on a budget

@@TenzaMotorsports Tried yesterday, you can‘t.
I am still watching so maybe I missed it in another video. But what are you doing about engine harness and tuning for the m54 into the m3?
Plug and play with some ews tuning
@@TenzaMotorsports I assume you are using the harness from the m54?
Yes. The m54 harness

Depends on how the person tuning it wants to go about it. We are going to tune the DME on the m3 shell to talk to the new engine computer
The oil pump on these engines scare me.
They used to scare me too. I just take care of it asap and then no more worrying.
@@TenzaMotorsports do you track the M54 often?
Yes. That’s what the white car has in it. It’s a supercharged m54
@@TenzaMotorsports strictly the wire method and you send it?? That’s relieving to know.
Yes! Wire method. It would have to have something very extreme happening to fail.

They do. I just got some the other day.
@@TenzaMotorsports I’ll try shooting them an email maybe
