Dancing non stop and singing live.. KING.. he was doing that since age of 5. So when he started using playback more in late 90s, especially history tour, due to age and illness it didnt bother me, he'd already paved his way and proven his vocal abilities ❤👑

Whilst i agree with this , i felt the dancing overshadowed what he actually was , which was a singer, i seen him twice live , the Dangerous tour and he definetly was singing but there were for sure some songs not live. His singing live voice in She's Out of my Life was incredible but he did lip sync Thriller and Will you Be There if i remember right. @@glamourisbest

Hi Seph, since no one has answered your question at 1:08 yet: Michael receives honorary doctorate from Fisk University during United Negro College Fund Awards in 1988. And the lady in the background in the white costume and the white hat is none other than the wonderful Whitney Houston.
That shot where he's getting a "degree" is from Fisk University (a historically black college opened in 1867) in Nashville, TN. I was a student there at the time and the president of the university is giving him an honorary doctorate. The school had some really tough financial circumstances and Michael made a sizable donation to tide things over ☺️. EDIT: And I flew home to L.A. TWICE to be in the first 10 rows for the last two dates of the Bad Tour. MJ got sick in November, so they were reschedled for January. I was only back at school 10 days after Christmas break before I was home again for the concerts; that semester never did really get on track 😆. And 14 years later, I spent 5 days at Neverland. (Having seen my first Jackson 5 concert at 4 years old - making me a lifelong fan - "surreal" isn't a strong enough word for that experience.)

I think Quincy Jones once said this was the song Jackson originally didn’t want on the BAD album. He wanted a song called “Streetwalker” (amazing song btw) but couldn’t really decide. So the way they made their decision is by which song made Jackson dance the most. This one ended up winning so they put it on the album. LOL. I still think Streetwalker should’ve made the album. Some of the songs that were cut were great listens. You’ll see them on Anniversary editions if you want to check them out. EDIT I think it was MJ’s manager who started dancing to Another Part of Me that got it put on the album. I’m a little rusty on the history. Forgive me. LOL.
