    Me: I press 2 plates
    People: HAHA is that it?
    The size of my plates:

      You press two giant plates, I eat 7 giants plates worth of food. We are not the same.

    Random guy: How many sets do you have left?
    Me: 4. So I’ll be about an hour 😅

      Lol I thought the same as you although I'm always happy to let people jump in in between sets

    I agree. I do One Rep H.I.T body building, slow, to failure. I have to wait at least 5 minutes before my next lift. You got to catch your breath to saturate your blood with oxygen for that all out stress.

    Studies came out that suggests that resting 1 minute or less in between sets is is going to severly hamper muslce development, and resting 2-3 minutes is ideal, but there is no significant detriment when resting more than 3 minutes in between sets.

    I drink Jym supplements Dextrose during my workout. I’m hypoglycemic so it helps keep my sugars up during a workout and it also gives me fuel to push through. I definitely recommend it to anyone who is hypoglycemic and/or natty guys who need some extra energy

    Great advice, too bad majority of us don’t have 3 hours to complete a workout

      5 mins would do for me, for now. If I do heavy compound lifts.

      If you’re doing max effort heavy lifts for multiple sets, that’s what’s required

    I get the most out of the first 10 minutes of my workout. I'm there for 2 hours and I'm winded the whole time. I never rest. I should, I've thought this more than once.

      Try resting, if you train for strenght have 5m rests between sets, if you train for hypertrophy then around 2-3m is good

  • @jonlew2659
    @jonlew2659 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You dont need 5-15mins rest. Go do another exercise, preferably the opposite movement. Doing Rows after the Bench Press will speed up your recovery and that way you aren't just wasting your time you are getting some work done. Also, you don't need a bunch of calories during your workout, this isn't a triathlon.
