The intro with the phone booth and Pesky was hilarious.
The combination of elevation, heat, blow down, poor trail, and yet making it 21 miles two days in a row and capturing the beauty of the trail is an accomplishment few could ever endure.
Annette prepared with her “Town Face” after all you went through had me laughing so hard….oh my you are rocking it ladies !
Sending cool thoughts as you continue to blaze through heat.

Watching these PCT videos is helping me get through a difficult time. I am struggling with depression, to the point where it's hard to even get out of the house to go for a walk. My health, physically and emotionally, is such that I will probably never do anything as adventurous as hiking the PCT, but at least I can see beauty in, and live vicariously through your videos.

@@demelar If you're on FB, go to the "North 350 Blades" trail crew page and check out the album "Grider Creek Brushing and Logout - June 2021". We cleared 2.85 miles of brush and logs from 1.4 miles of trail. We car camped at the road end about 8 trail miles south of the beginning of the road walk. From there, we cleared ~3/4 mile to the north toward Seiad and 2.1 miles to the south, up the hill. As it turns out, we had only 5 people on the crew - with more people we could have cleared a lot more. We also got shut down early due to a ban on the use of power tools about 1/2 way through our projected time working.

Castle Crags to Ashland were some of my happiest days on trail. I never saw a thru-hiker, only section hikers, and often days went by when I saw nobody at all. I did my first 30+ mile day in this section. I split my hike in two so my second half technically started at Castle Crags (although by the time I got there I had already hiked a month in various parts of the trail south of there just to make up for fires.) I have often felt that a flip-flop like what you did is the best way to hike the trail. Two triumphant finishes at both terminuses, you get to hike the northern part in summer, you get to hike the Sierras and So Cal in the fall when it's so nice. Thanks for being so inspiring. If you are ever around Santa Barbara during backpacking season come hike with me and I'll show you some amazing stuff behind Santa Barbara.

If you guys can find Theraworx Relief it's worth carrying the 7 oz foam pump. Says for Muscle cramps and spasm relief but works better on my joints than any prescription I have ever had. I found mine at Publix grocery store but think Walmart sells it now. Great stuff.
Hopefully, with all the hikers posting videos of the crappy sections someone will go in and clear them out soon.

Does it work on shin splints (cramps in the side of the shin) ? I have those when I'm hiking. Due to not drinking enough water, lacking electrolytes, and other things. Painful when they happen. I take flax oil pills (hear fish oil is what is recommended but I didn't have any) for my knee joints. That worked within a couple of days. I was told turmeric but that it would take two weeks. Took the flax oil instead because I'd heard about the fish oil from one of these hiker Vlogs. Worth a try to see if it helps. It does for me.
