This is a trip if you guys know Gordon you know he does NOT like frozen foods but he teamed up walmart to come out with 8 frozen meals! Gordon Ramsay is one of the biggest celebrity chefs in the world so we have high expectations!

Shepherd's pie has mashed potato on top. Traditionally Shepherd's pie is made with ground lamb then there's a version called cottage pie that is made with ground beef. However here in the U.S. our version is typically cottage pie (ground beef) but we call it shepherd's pie. If you order shepherd's pie when you're in Ireland, where it originated, it will be ground lamb.
Why the hell would you call cottage pie shepherds pie. Shepherds pie, the clues are in the name. Shepherds tending their flocks of sheep meaning lamb for shepherds pie. Cottage pie is beef. Duhhhh
@@lizvickers7156 right! But here in the US for some reason cottage pie tends to be called shepherd's pie. The US isn't a big producer of lamb but we have a lot of beef. I'm sure if you ordered shepherd's pie in a fancy restaurant you would get it with lamb.

there is a difference between buying a frozen dinner knowingly VS eating at a restaurant that serves frozen dinners while paying a good penny for it (deceiving customers into thinking that they're getting freshly made food). I don't see a conflicting issue with the matter.
I don't think Gordon necessarily has a problem with frozen dinners . But restaurants that deceive customers more soo

I came across your channel by accident. I got a Gordon Ramsay Lasagna dinner, which is funny because you didn't get that one. It was really good, but wanted a bigger portion. Walmart also has Guy Fieri frozen dinner, but when i went to order for delivery it was sold out. Maybe you can review that if they have it near you. Anyway, thanks for the review on them, I might wait until the price goes down to try more.
Fish and Chips are commonly eaten with malt vinegar traditionally in Great Britain. Tartare sauce is used, but wasn't as popular from what I remembered.

Gordon Ramsay is the real life midget chef from that Ratatouille film with the frozen meals.
The thing is, he sells the only frozen meals that are fresh frozen.
The price point is too high for frozen meals. Maybe these will show up at Grocery Outlet, just like Martha Stewart's frozen meals. Then you could buy at half the price.
$5.94 is to high? Really? better look at some of the frozen dinners out these, they are more than $6.

Everything you described is everything I went through as I got closer to Jesus, finally became saved and lost my parents. I had 2 best friends, one from early childhood and another early adulthood and we both went though these things. My first best friend as I lost my father and my second one as I lost my mother so I was grieving loss in 2 different ways at the same time and it was painful but most of all no one understood. I never thought about the aspect of when these relationships were formed but both were from trauma bonding and only God could reveal to me the truth about the friendships but at times I did feel like I wish I could “unknow” what I now knew. All in all letting them go was for the best and I’m thankful God loved me enough to release me from people who didn’t value me or know how to love me.

Cool review! I never knew these existed. If someone had told me Gordon Ramsay made tv dinners I would've thought it was a prank.
I don't think he came up with frozen meals. I think a company paid Gordon to have his face on their boxes so they could sell more.
You are exactly correct. Think of The George Foreman Grill. He's the spokesperson getting paid to represent. He don't make 'em and didn't design them. Same with most of the Food Channel Chef's Cookery (pots, pans), etc.

I'm not a picky eater and really don't mind frozen meals, but for the price, I would not try any of these. Glad you did this review, it saved me the trouble of wondering if I'm missing something. But yea, GR on a frozen meal is comical.

Is the fish pollock? That is a white fish that is used where would use cod but it is cheaper. A lot of our fish fingers (sticks) etc are pollock or other cheaper white fish unless it actually states "cod" on the label

Try cooking it in the oven, remove film, cook at 350 degrees for 45min. Let sit for 2 min after, its night and day on the taste from microwave.
Thanks for the reviews! I tried his Lasagna tonight with the hubby. My husband declared my homemade version is far superior. Sort of sad coming from Gordon. Like many others, I am surprised he even made a frozen meal. We also tried Flavortown lasagna pizza which was more flavorful but had a Hamburger Helper quality to it.

The popular fish sticks are Gorton not Gordon. For a quick tartar sauce mix mayonnaise and relish or chopped pickles. I recently ate atGordon Ramsey’s in Atlantic City, OMG the beef Wellington was the best think I have ever eaten

Unless someone beat me to it... you missed the bottom right front of box that includes that clever disclaimer "Serving Suggestion" which then opens them up to whatever they would like to put with the actual product label including tarter sauce in its own serving container. Check any box, label etc. for something extra pictured and then attached somewhere nearby ... a "serving suggestion." Otherwise you might claim "Where is the plate pictured on the box?... no plate inside!" Seems obvious but a lot of companies paid out dearly "back in the day" before that disclaimer came along. BTW... $6 is way over my range for something like that. Guessing you are not Polish (me either) but the fish is pronounced like Pa-lick hahahaha. Sorry Gordon. Prices are representative of his restaurant prices though 😂Take care!

LOL It is not a Poe Lock fish it's pronounced PA lick. It's a cheap white fish. Ouch those meals are expensive. I mean if they like filled up the bowls it would be better but for that tiny amount of food, he's crazy. Good Griefs get some Marie Callender's mac and cheese for $3 bucks and you can make a meal out of that or split it up for 2 or 3 people as a side. I can buy a Hungry Man frozen dinner for less than $4 and it's going to fill me up. They taste good they have potatoes, meat, veggies and dessert!

Gordon Ramsay has sunk to even doing frozen dinners?! My oh my, I loved his shows but some stuff Gordon you just need to say no to. I have never found a single frozen dinner that tastes good, they're also terrible for you and loaded with salt/sodium which is very bad for you. Besides if you can pop one of these in a microwave or in the oven then let me tell you then you can cook something just as quick, it'll taste better and be better for you. You can also make any of these meals, and have more food that's overall better food for less than the over $6 this frozen crap tastes and have enough for leftovers for the next day as well.

Fun review guys! What makes me laugh is, so many times I have watched Gordon Ramsay's shows, and he always complained if the food was frozen. Lol Anything to make money, I guess. Just seems so hypocritical, of him.

No way am I going to eat this. Gordon thinks his cooking is special but I don't. He makes a big production and a lot of fuss over something as unimportant as food. Nobody cares. There are far more important things than food. I detest anything that needs to be cooked at home, frozen or otherwise. I have a favorite buffett restaurant. You won't catch me soiling my hands cooking at home. It's disgusting
