I'm new to journaling and I think your spreads are beautiful. I like how simple they are yet artsy as well. Thank you for sharing your journal spread and giving me some inspiration for my journal. I do feel like you when it comes to perfection. I like things to be a certain way and if i try to fix them, most of the time it makes it worse due to overly fixing it. I think you've done a great job and I wouldn't change anything about your layouts. Thanks again!
That makes me so happy to hear, I'm glad you like them 🥰 I can definitely relate to you about the perfectionism haha, but I think it at least gets a bit better with time ☺️
@@artandbujos I do have a question for you.....have you done any spreads using only the ohuhu brush markers? I have the ohuhu maui 100 count brush pens and I'm about to start a new journal myself and I'm looking to use a matcha green theme for the entire journal. With that being said, what colors would go well with that color from that line that would make a simple spread like your 2024 cover page? I'm loving your spreads and I'm using them as inspiration for my new journal. I know I've watched them over and over, lol! I was just wanting your opinion due to me having a hard time with color schemes. Thank you in advance.
I'm not quite sure if I made one only with the Ohuhu markers, but if I think you could always find some of the Ohuhu shades to replace any of the other markers I use in my setups, since they have quite a large range ☺️ I did make a matcha theme for my march setup this year, so if you're looking for some inspiration you could check that one out 🥰 I mainly used some olive green tones and a light pink as an accent color and I was really happy with that color scheme, but I think it's always best to just try out some colors before you start to see if you like them together. Hope this helps! ❤️
I love this design! I have not started journaling. I've owned my journal for about 6 months so ridiculous that I have not started. I've been watching videos and trying to find a simple setup, but something I can feel has an artistic flair and color. The cherries and your color choices are perfect. The first day of June is tomorrow so I can complete my layouts today using your designs and begin journaling tomorrow. I love your voice and everything about your videos. Thank you! ❤️ I think most people struggle with perfectionism. I know I do. I've tried to accept less than my best in other artistic ventures, but I usually struggle with that, too. You are a talented artist so I understand that minimalism may not be your consistent style, but this particular video was perfect to help me get started. Looking forward to all your future ideas and checking out your past videos as well! 😊
Thank you so much for your sweet and thoughtful comment! ❤️ I really appreciate hearing about your struggles, because I can definitely relate and please don't feel bad for not having started journaling, just take your time with it and have fun! 🥰 It makes me really happy to hear that you could find some inspiration from my video and I hope you have a lot of fun with your journal this month! ✨
I just recently bought my 3rd journal in less than a years time. I've finished my 2024 journal already and i don't like it at all until I get to September. I needed to do more research and watch more videos before starting mine. I started in my second journal and I'm already a little disappointed with it. Luckily my 3rd one showed up today, so before i do anything with it, I will definitely be watching more videos and trying to find exactly what you are, simplicity yet colorful and artsy. you did right by not starting until you know you're ready. These journals are too expensive to mess up like i have with mine. So yes, take your time. Happy Journaling!!!!
I just love how calming your videos are and I love this cherry theme a lot! Especially those tiny cherries in the corners are so cute. I fully get what you're saying! I love finding inspiration online, but sometimes it can also block my own creativity. Whenever I try to 1 on 1 recreate someones spreads, I am never happy with it and feel like it's not as good. But when I take it just as inspiration and add whatever I like, it always turns out the way I like it, haha. So I guess that you should always follow your own creativity and style.
Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoy the way I make my videos 🥰 and you're absolutely right, sometimes it's better to not try too hard and just have fun with it!
I really love watching your videos! You have such a elegant way of decorating and making your spreads. I love this style of bullet journalling more, since it's closer to what I'd love to achieve, than the maximalist / busier spreads. Keep doing you
Thank you! ❤️ I've gotten a few comments before about making washi tape and I think it's a really cute idea, but unfortunately it takes a lot of time and effort and it's usually only worth it if you make a large amount of them because the manufacturing can be quite expensive 🙈
This is such a true statement. I have the worst time with criticizing myself because nothing seems to look quite right but everyone else says differently. But yes, I'm my own worst critic and I've realized this for some time now. I like many others need to learn to let go of a lot of that and let the pieces fall where they should. Thank you for this comment. A lot of people need to hear this as well.
This is such a cute and inspiring theme and layout, you make each page look so interesting and unique. I struggle with my pages always having the same structure, so it’ very fun to see what you do. Thank you for the video!
Thank you! Oh and yes, I must have read it wrong since the color is quite faded but I always list the products in the description as well if you're ever not sure (unfortunately I can't change it in the video anymore 😅)
When you left a gap over the numbers I was genuinely expecting you to put in cherry stems (as if the dates were cherries, too). 🤔It's interesting that you don't consider this style minimalist. Compared to so many others (as you don't want to do) these simplistic little decorative touches would be. Haha. 😄
Ohh that's a cute idea, I might do that in my next weekly spread ☺️ I guess you're right, I mean I was definitely going for a more minimalistic style but of course there are still always more minimalistic spreads than mine 🤔 but it's very interesting to hear an outside perspective every now and then 🥰

The cherries and flowers design would make such cute washi tape.

Your worst critic is you. Love this! Really inspirational!
