  • The Kuan Yim Shrine is the most popular and visited shrine in Bangkok's Chinatown area.
This shrine is the host to a 900-year old statue of Guanyin, the Chinese Goddess of Mercy.
The serene incense filled air of this shrine can have an otherworldly atmosphere. However, during Chinese New Year and other Chinese holidays it becomes a bustling and busy area full of worshippers.
Open later into he evening, a visit to the Kuan Yim Shrine can be made before enjoying Chinatown's famous street food on Yaowarat Road.
