A genuine question- Is it too naive of me to think that a prison officer can make a positive difference? Even being respected by inmates or is it always fight mode? I'm seriously considering that career change but I was told it's impossible and I'll be against lots of crap both from inmates and staff for being too nice. I believe there's always hope for people and my mates think I'm an idiot for thinking that. Was just wondering
There not all bad I had a really good case worker which is a screw who each inmate mainly has at mrc.Generally speaking if the screws are fine and compatible they don't get messed with except for the spinners who attack officers for nothing but a name.
What would be really nice to hear is "I turned my life around" and now by doing these podcasts I can get some money plus the dole money and hopefully getting a real job can change your life around. Guys that are in jail are there for a reason and the reason is their choice. It is like gambling on the roulette, I put my money on 12, if I loose my money, it was my choice, nobody else's fault. I hope that the guys that in for a long time, start working as soon as they get in, not to hate society, that will take them NOWHERE mate. They better believe it, for any brave, strong and scariest guy, there will always be another more brave, more scariest and stronger. That is life. I hope all those guys who are in jail with all the support available start re thinking their life and what they can do. There are a few guys who are now making a career in the media like youTube. Great. If you can make a dollar that way and in addition get some government support, then, you should be able to make a living. The guys that are still in jail for many years need to change the way they see life. By the time they come out they will not recognise anything and they most probably will be more scare out than in. The community has a lot of goodwill towards guys who are in prison and one way that the community will be more helpful to the guys in jail is for them to offer the community something, some hope that things will turn around, rather than being frustrated and continuous to hate society. Society did not put them there. It was their choice that put them there. for all of them the answer is TAKE RESPONSIBILITY, nobody owes anybody anything. We all have our own demons, our sad stories, our family problems but we do not go off the rails, we put up with whatever life throw at us. so should the guys who are in jail. Thank you for your information mate, I really hope that the media turned you around, you do have a future, look what Chopper did through the media, wrote a book etc and he was not a University graduate, his background was jail from an early age so the opportunities are there, grab them and turn your life around and for that we are proud of you and we support you, I just subscribed to your youtube, more subscribers means more money for you from youTube. Keep up going straight mate and we will salute you RESPECT to you

An yeah they still have the ticket system haha
No cameras wow in 2023!
good pod buddy and not being a smart ass but the saying is, believe me you, keep it up bro
Now good mate I'm a big fella I can handle a bit of constructive criticism much respect
A genuine question-
Is it too naive of me to think that a prison officer can make a positive difference? Even being respected by inmates or is it always fight mode?
I'm seriously considering that career change but I was told it's impossible and I'll be against lots of crap both from inmates and staff for being too nice.
I believe there's always hope for people and my mates think I'm an idiot for thinking that.
Was just wondering
There not all bad I had a really good case worker which is a screw who each inmate mainly has at mrc.Generally speaking if the screws are fine and compatible they don't get messed with except for the spinners who attack officers for nothing but a name.
@@leighford6265 lots of good officers who will help you if you really want to make a change
A guy I knew did 18 months in charlotte, the mental miles would be crazy.

Because we all know that 90% will say they will be in for it then when it gets sticky they don’t show up. I’ve taken a few down in my time

You always say 1 IMPORTANT POINT!!! GAOL IS JUST SH.T!!!❤
How could it not be ? Noones there because they are good or kind....Pretty Simple....Dont get caught or better still dont be a crook.....karma is something crooks seem to overlook massively and i cant understand why!! Its a pre ordained life....life is already planned for everyone until they devieate from that path.....FACT...People who recognise this are mostly happy and can pay their way be it as hard as it is today.
Crooks think they have a Golden Key to easy living....DOESNT EXIST!!! Work and honesty make an easy life😂 LAWS OF LIFE .....I really dont feel anyone gets away with Crime for long or at all.... Crims dont have the tech Government agencies have and the talent either 😂 AWESOME BIFF...Got me going ❤ and so so true mate!!😂
