Osvaldo Farrés se trasladó a la gran ciudad de La Habana a los 25 años para buscarse un mejor futuro. Allí permaneció largo tiempo y trabajo en oficios varios, entre otros, de ilustrador, publicista y compositor de temas y anuncios publicitarios hasta que comenzó a realizar sus primeras composiciones casi sin proponérselo. Farrés no tocaba ningún instrumento y carecía de formación musical formal, siendo incapaz de leer o escribir música. Cuando componía le venía la letra y la melodía a la vez. Cuando tenía la canción, la memorizaba, la grababa, y posteriormente pasaba la grabación a alguien con conocimientos musicales para transcribirla.... Leer más aquí: ikirabaru.com/2...
Oswaldo Farrés moved to the Cuban capital, La Havana, at the age of 25 to look for a better future. He started to work in different creative fields, among others, as an illustrator, publisher and composer of themes and commercials until he began to make his first musical compositions almost unwittingly. Farrés played no instrument and had no formal musical training, he was unable to read or write music. While composing, the lyrics and the melody of his songs surged simultaneously.
