This is sick Cam! I found your channel a few months ago, and my coach is a cross fitter. He’s got me doing testing on my 500, 2000, and 5000 meter row, and always mixing in the rower for calories and meters in the workouts. Watching your channel has helped tremendously with increasing my times and efficiency on the Erg. Thanks bro you’re the best and I’ll always be cheering you on and laughing about how you pull my dream PR’s while casually talking to us in your row along videos haha! Legend!
Hi Cameron. How can shorter people get this power without such a long stride length? (I'm 171 cm tall and about 95 kg, but want to get down to 80-85 kg while maintaining a lot of my muscle). Personally, I have strong legs, arms, and back, but I struggle to get my times to 1:15. The best I have done is around 1:30, and of course only for a few strokes. I have only been rowing for a few months, so I am still a beginner. Today I was able to row for 1 hour with an average split time of 2:18, which is my best performance so far. My goal is to be able to row for 1 hour with an average 500m split under 2 minutes within the next 3 months. I think it is realistically possible as I was able to hold steady at 1:59 for several minutes today. Have a great day and I hope you can give me some advice.
I think a big part of it is continuing the training. You said yourself you’ve just started so you can’t really expect to have super fast scores right away. You’ll also notice that my stroke length is not very long for the 250m so it is not as much about height and stroke length as much as power per stroke, which is all about strength and fitness. If you’re looking for a training program I can open a spot for you on my custom training programs. If you’re keen send me an email at contact@yamsquad.com and I can give you 50% off 💪
@@CameronBuchan Thanks Cameron! will consider in a few months based on my progress (also relocating currently so not the best time to sign up for custom training) but added your contact to my list of contacts now and will have you present as my first choice for custom training when ready! appreciate your videos very much.
impressive but needs more chop strokes to start and avoid over pulling thru to keep it in the whizz up ROM... using TOO MUCH of your height... for this just take advantage of your better angles over a longer distance but taking it too far overstrides
Just do it 8 times in a row
Ha!
It really is that simple… quick 2k. Simple
