Love your EDC man honestly the best I've ever seen cause I'm tired of people just laying there stuff down on the table . While I'm over trying figure where the hell they put all their stuff. Sometimes it's a little over doing it. Great vid!!!!

Wow great video! Some tips.. The paracord bracelet and the "tacticool" pants scream "look at me I have a gun!". I love the minimalist slim approach you have. This will actually work. And many people wear cargo pants so that's not a big deal. But if I saw you. 1. Short hair. 2. White 3. Cargo Kakis not from a name brand. 4. Tacticool watch. 5. Paracord bracelet.. You might as well open carry. Combat boots.

I do not carry a handgun. I fully support all those that want to carry. I have watched many, many videos about EDC gear. Many carry guns and/or tactical type knives. Every one says these are for self defense and yet I have not seen one person carry pepper spray or a taser. Kinda makes one wonder, don't you think, since even police and military will try to disable a person without the use of firearms if possible. The average, logical person watching these EDC videos would have to make certain deductions based upon the lack of sprays or teasers in these kits.

Frederick Ippolito I agree with your thoughts about carrying a non lethal option but you also have to keep in mind that, at least for tazers, much of the gear thats available on the consumer market is either subpar so you wouldn't want to stake your life on it, or is extremely expensive. It's a viable option of course if you are unable to carry a firearm but no matter what, your first line of defense, and your non letal option really, is just fighting your way out with your hands.

Frederick Ippolito For me it comes down to convenience and philosophy of use. I don't carry a tool for every potential edge case. I have had need of a torx bit screw driver several times in my life but they are so few that I don't keep one on my person. I've never needed a gun so I don't see the point in keeping one on me. They are expensive and if you have to keep on in your car it leaves you open to having it stolen.
I heard Joe Rogan talking about CCW vs Knifes, he said that knives are way more dangerous because they are always ready. A gun takes time to pull and release a safety. Knives take less time than that.

Frederick Ippolito I think spray or an ASP baton are excellent options for less than lethal options (I would say spray is better as batons take more training to use and are often surprisingly not effective - particularly for women). Unless someone is extremely capable and confident in their h@H abilities they may well go to the only tool they have and apply lethal force when it is not justified. CCW also means any physical confrontation can turn lethal in a split second. You may have decided it was within your ability go H2H only to find out they felt your CCW and have drawn it on you.
This means that doing MMA, kickboxing, kung fu etc has a whole new dimension to it (not covered by most civilian martial arts styles) being employment, retention and disarms of fire arrms and edged weapons whilst in a hand to hand fight. As I alluded to in my comment to "knifegunguy" carrying means training to fight (offense and defense) - a mix of unarmed/edged and handgun fighting. Food for thought.
I guarantee few people on these videos (not inferring "knifegunguy" is one of them) actually train regularly in those skills if they train at all. Most buy a tool (knife or gun) because they want to own it, they may shoot paper or steel on the flat range and think they are now prepared/capable of employing them effectively. They are wrong and it may well cost them their life one day or a jail sentence.

Nice setup. They're the critical defense rounds. I use the same thing. Lol. Take Care and Be Aware

knifegunguy I'd recommend to people to be careful with how often they change knife or holster configurations. You are better off running it consistently so your muscle memory doesn't short circuit under the duress of a life or death encounter. E.g. swapping between a double action pistol with a safety to a Glock style system or a folder that is carried and opens a particularly way to another style that is carried differently or has a different opening system may cause you to come unstuck or waste a second which may cost you your life.
Anyone who swaps something should only do so because it is better than what they currently have (not cooler, or just to carry it because they spent money on it as collectors). i.e. it is a functional upgrade not a hobby to carry different kit load outs.
Once the swap is made they need to straight way begin training (even if only dry) on drawing and engaging with it, whether that be knife or gun. Get a training version to be able to do some force on force scenarios etc. Carrying a weapon/tool doesn't make someone prepared to use it effectively under duress. Only realistic training time and repetition of perfect practice can do that.

Just a suggestion, but Federal HST's are far and above the nastiest, best performing 9mm loads available right now. Critical Defense are nice. The polymer insert insures reliable expansion, but the trade off is penetration. With the short barrel on your Kahr, that could come into play. If you're serious about your carry loads, I'd check out shootingthebull's videos. He does some excellent testing and data collection.
