How to start page numbering from a specific page in word

before deleting unwanted page no. the 1st page you chose.. click the page no. i.e. 1 ,(automatically header and footer section open ) it will enable link to previous section ... click that... after doing that unwanted pages gets delete

Never mind, thanks, I solved it! The problem is the section breaks and the "same with previous" label on the footer, that needs to be removed, by deactivating the "Link to previous".
