You need an OBD2 scanner capable of resetting the service date in the car's computer before SERVICE DUE will go away. This video only shows how to reset the oil change interval. Data for the ECM has to be altered for this to go away.
As mentioned below did not remove service due.. I'm guessing either needs timing done or decoder 8s needed.. Got my Audi engine oil serviced and can't remove service is due.
The only way to clear that is with a capable OBD. When you get to the oil change due mileage you get a service due notification, you can only reset the oil on the screen it doesn't reset the service due.
What I've heard is that Audi will do it for free, since they have intentionally removed the ability for the owners to do it themselves. You should confront them about this.
Oh dear...this guy obviously knows nothing about cars!! as you need vcds software for this, it's common knowledge. I agree this video should be removed. And the guy should book himself a short course on vehicle management systems so he can post something that we might find of interest instead of misleading information like this.
It doesn't reset the Service Due. To do this you need an Audi Special Tool, or buy a MaxiCom MK808, which isn't cheap and try if you will have Luck. If you buy an Audi you do not own it 100%. That't the reason I sold my 2015 Audi A4 2.0 T Quatrro and bought a Subaru Outback. At least I own this new car 100 %.
This only works for "Oil Change Interval" not "Service Due" - Please remove this misleading video
Please explain
Yes please
The service due is done by obd2 if I’m correct
YESSS! EXACTLY
@@nickseal326: so I turn it off with my OBD2 hand held?? 🤷🏽♂️

OBD2 seems not to be able to do the job for an A4. It seems like another tool, like VCDS is needed.
That's oil inspection interval though, there's a separate service interval which is what the service due message refers to, not 5hr oil inspection
Thanks Greg from New Hampshire you made that so easy!!🎉
That was easy but it still says service due?
Only does the oil interval
Literally the video helped no one 🤣
@@janglestangle9152don't blame this guy for Audi's stupid software
Audi makes it easy.... thanks for sharing!!
one of the only easy things on Audi :)
True story....
That doesn’t knock it off,I’ve tried that☹️
Just like the other video I watched it does not reset actual service reminder just the oil change interval
As mentioned below did not remove service due..

I followed all your steps on my Audi A4, 2013 2.0 T and the service due light still comes on do you have any other options for me?
You need an OBD to clear the service due! Not all ODB's have the capability to clear it.

@@bt2463yes, you need the VCDS
Hi my 2012 a5 wont reset the service due on the dash it only resets on the center council do you have any idea why

2014 A4 here. It still says it on my dash but I reset it. No other lights are on.
It still says service due on the cluster screen
It doesn't remove ..... Service due! 2000km ago
Did you happen to figure out how to remove service due on dashboard?
Ty in advance
I have the same issue..sevice due!..dosen't disappear on the dashboard...any idea?
You must have to hook it up to a computer because I have tried about everything
@@Coolkid33ma yup
It didn't work. Service Due! is still on. What else can I do?
bruh my shit wont go away 😭
Thank you 👍
what about service due (inspection) reset? :(
Mine keeps saying service due after this? What does this mean?

Need a scanner to reset the inspection due or service due light won't go out
It doesn't work for 2015 A4😢
Mines still says service due when I start car . Also put diagnostic on it still there tho and no codes
Nope! Doesn't work.... I called one of our dealerships and the service guy says they charge $75 to reset it! Like wtf!

Didn't work on my 2013 A4
Me too i can't knock it off . Still appear on my screen even I just change oil and filter .
all i did was mess up when my next oil change is due lmao
Thank u sir for ur time and knowledge. Much appreciated. Cheers!!!
👍👍👍👍
Did not work???
You forgot to mention the key must be inserted in the ignition
Thought that was obvious
@@FlyingWheels poor response
@@zackh9048 sure was and this only resets oil change interval NOT "service due" like many others have mentioned
Need a Vag-com i would guess
Misleading, does not clear service due, only oil change reminder.
Brilliant. Pure knowledge. No bulshit.
Did not work. Still says service due!
It will not work if you do not have the parking system or gps!! This doesn’t work for all
Don’t work
Yeah that doesnt sort it thst just resets the oil
This is a click bait video. Totally useless for someone trying to get rid of the SERVICE DUE light!!!
It didn't work on mine
mine still says it 😂
Service not oil change!
Didn't work, service due starring me in the face
Remove service due because that cant be reset without vcds. Dont write something bullshit to have views!

Fake,doesn't work.

Did that and my service due light is still on only when I start the car
Unbelievable and totally useless
