Two things that astonish me are 1) how tremendously talented Sarah Jarosz is and 2) that this song hasn't been viewed more. So many folks are missing out on such a talented artist!!
I'm from the days of Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins, CSN&Y, Joan Baez, etc. And Sarah Jarosz brings backs the good feelings that come from hearing excellent writing, singing and playing.
I've loved this song since I first heard it on Live From Here about three years ago. Its in rotation on my Pod and I'm sure I've listened to it a hundred times. I was thrilled to see a studio version released, but I have to say the first time I heard it the tempo change was a curveball I wasn't expecting. Its a very interesting way to shift the mood of the song. I think that Sarah is one of the most talented singer/songwriters out there. :)
tempo change threw me too, i was sure it was a recording screw up the first time i heard it! i have to admit that i was holding out hope that Julian Lage would play the solo on the album too, but this is still pretty darn good. that "rumble" tone is really sweet.

She's one of the best singer, songwriter, and musicians I have ever heard.
Her body of work will be remembered for a very long time. So much more of Sarah to look forward to!!

Sarah Jarosz has become one of my all time favorite singer / songwriters. Brilliant musically and lyrically.
I remember when she performed this on LFH and it moved me then. It moves me now. Lovely song.
She uses lots of colors in her lyrics which I really like.
Such a beautiful arrangement!! Thank you for your angelic vocals.
This beautiful perfectly structured album is a joy to listen to from beginning to end.
