After several months of viewing East & West European tram ride videos on TH-cam, I finally spotted a homeless person pushing a cart overloaded with big plastic bags, full of who knows what. The individual in question can be seen on the left, at 15:40 minutes into the video. Thank you for another enjoyable, entertaining ride!

Some may be homeless, but most aren't (they are very poor though). They collect plastic bottles and/or aluminium cans from trash containers and sell them to recycling companies. Most are part of well-organised networks of such collectors, so some could say they are actually holding a job. I think they are going to slowly disappear in time as selective waste collection is spreading in Bucharest.

The Netherlands has much more homeless than Romania anyway. That person is probably not even a homeless a person, just someone with a low wage who collects plastic. Also, this neighbourhood, second poorest in Bucharest, looks much, much better today.
