Wow. You have hindi subtitles too..i am from India and probably you are the first Russian teacher who has Hindi subtitles in your video. I truly cant believe it. Though we use English extensively in India its always easier to understand things in Hindi. India 🇮🇳
This is the story that I was hoping you would feature on your channel. Thank you for your lovely, clear presentation of this interesting and important story of Stanislav Petrov. Imagine if it was up to AI to make such a powerful and thoughtful deduction !!! 😲 That would likely end in an epic disaster. Even a person who was less level-headed than Mr. Petrov could have created a catastrophe. Stanislav Petrov was absolutely the right man, in the right place at the right time. We are all Blessed by that fact! You're right, not everyone can have such a cool head in difficult situations - let alone the extremely tense drama of that particular situation. Indeed, people like Stanislav Petrov do not appear often in our world and we should always remember them with the appreciation they deserve. It is a shame that he did not get the well deserved attention. care and gratitude for much of his life. Thank you to Stanislav Petrov. Thank you also to the millions who sacrificed their todays for our tomorrows, especially the 27 million soviet soldiers who do not get their due attention and gratitude from the West. History can be viewed from various perspectives, but I believe those people deserve our gratitude and thanks. I feel that for more than 20 recent years, Russia has a leader that has helped prosperity in Europe and despite recent appearances, has assisted in peace for our world. There are pressures of many kinds and for various reasons. Thank you to the people of Russia 🙂
Thank you! Not only did I learn something new about this very interesting man, but it’s also helping me with my language learning. I appreciate all your hard work, Sergei!
Thank you for all of your videos. They help me maintain my Russian language proficiency, as best I can. This was very interesting. I didn’t understand every word, but got the idea. You have a good heart yourself. Keep it up!
there was also a similar situation during the Cuba missile crisis, where a nuclear weapon was almost launched, but one of the Soviet submarine commanders didn't vote for launching nuclear missile to attack US (the captain and his political officer already voted for it). his name was Vasily Aleksandrovich Arkhipov. There's a wiki entry about him and the incident. Ironically, Putin has been talking about or insinuating in many occasions about using nuclear on Ukraine.
Although this was above my current level, I did appreciate how clearly you spoke. I’d like to come back to study this video; it seems to be a very interesting story. Thanks.
I rewatched at slower speed and put on English subtitles. I realised that I did know more words than I initially thought the first time watching it. It is an interesting story.
Let’s all continue to pray and work for peace. ☮️ 🇷🇺🇺🇸☮️
This story gained some momentum in the states with the release of Oppenheimer but great to bake it into a Russian lesson. It’s really quite scary that politics can make or break a person’s life, especially a National hero’s. And. It just Soviet politics, either.

Such a great man to be forgotten is shame, what he had achieved is unforgettable thanks for telling us his story Sergey
A good comment, thank you.
Why doesn't anyone talk about him more often? Thanks for making these videos!

Muchas gracias!!! Amazing😮.
These videos dont just help you learn russian, they are very interesting as well. I never heard about this man who saved the world.
Actually, I did enjoy the movie "The Man Who Saved The World' with Petrov himself.
Thanks!

At minute 3:24, the English subtitles say “he married him.” I don’t think so! Perhaps something like “stood in for him.”
Thanks, we will fix it!
Thank Petrov! ❤ The man that saved the world was not superman but a soviet citizen in a communist state! 😂❤
😀
Opa, falas Russo?
