This "nude" costume suits him so well. It reminds me of the late Jorge Donn who was self-conscious about a tendency to gain a little "fat" on the sides. I think it's irrational to interview him so soon after the performance - he's obviously trying to regain his strength. But he patiently answers the questions with clarity and highlights his devotion to his wife in an expression of gratitude for her support. I'm also impressed with his intellect!
It would be considerate to let him recover before interviewing him, but I imagine he’s used to it by now and he manages it all well. It’s always a pleasure to get to watch Sergei’s interviews. He’s very approachable and, as you noted, he is very patient and gives thoughtful answers. He does respect and praise his wife, Elena, so much and I’m very grateful for all the support she gives him. ❤️
I do not understand why they don’t keep an oxygen tank in the wings like they do for almost any other athlete. Allowing his oxygen saturation to get so low is indeed dangerous. He could suffer a heart attack or a stroke! In my mind there is nothing heroic in perpetuating dangerous behavior when the fix is so easy and available. WTF? I would rather he danced continuously for 10 minutes healthy than 12 minutes gasping for air on the verge of unconsciousness. Sergei darling, please take very good care of your body so we can enjoy your art for years to come. Also please be careful in your everyday life. The world has not been kind to young, gifted, opinionated artists such as yourself. You and your family are in my prayers. Much love from Northern California. ♥️
