I asked Dr. Alan Goldhamer of TrueNorth health where they use exclusively distilled water for their patients. He said the minerals in water are of limited benefit with the majority of minerals coming from your vegetable rich diet. I mentioned my long distance running and ensuring I don’t have any problems drinking too much water or sweating away electrolytes. He said I could include vegetable broth in my meal prep if I wished and increase the use of chard, kale, tomato etc. to increase mineral concentration but that he would avoid the drops. 👍

yeah but if distilled water was the best water to drink for animals, it would exist in nature. And no, rain water is not like distilled water. Spring water is the best water because this is the water animals are meant to drink, we cant improve on nature.
I live in Austria and we have good tap weater. At my opinion no need to destilide. Water come from the alps and contain relative high amount of calcium. The supplements are a hype for makeing money. Also if you need to supplement your food with B12 something in your nutrition is wrong.
Green pee is not a side effect. Methylene Blue is a blue dye. When you pee it out: blue + yellow = green. That's all it is. It may or may not be all it is cracked up to be, but the pee color is irrelevant. For me, it absolutely gives me mental clarity when my brain is feeling foggy (16mg lasts about 6 hours for me).
I learned from Dr. Will Tuttle about Clearly Filtered. It’s a water pitcher that looks like the Britta system, except it also gets out fluoride. But the RO system under the sink if you have that option, of course is probably the best.
First of all, the methylene blue (mb) folks are very transparent about the dye showing up in urine. Second, if you're going to bad mouth mb, you are really obligated to debunk the science touted in favour of it. Third, the idea that plant-exclusive eaters need to remineralize distilled water is dubious in light of plants already being mineralized. Third, refrigerater filters are nothing more than activated charcoal which does filter out chlorine but many cities have switched to chloramine which is not filtered by charcoal. Fourth, True North Health Center uses only distilled and that's plenty good enough for me.
Sorry to change the topic. But this is very important. Among all the benefits of a vegan diet that it is worth being vegan for, there is one we usually don't mention at all and for which I would be vagan if I were not for none of the other benefits. That is the smell of vegan poo. It should be about 80 to 90 % less stinky than the average of the meat-eater. I have turned back from the door of a public restroom without daring to get in just because a frequent meat-eater has been there over half an hour ago. Eating animal products is shameful in many ways, but people prefer to endure the gross smell.
I bought a water distiller 25 yers ago but stopped using it after reading the HEALTH RISKS FROM DRINKING DEMINERALISED WATER chapter of the 2005 World Health Organization technical paper on Nutrients in Drinking Water.
Hi Jeff You may want to speak to Dr Peter Rogers before you buy any remineralisation for the Reverse Osmosis filter system...he advises against it saying its still supplementation no matter which way you look at it & told me on a low fat WFPB diet I'm getting plenty of minerals anyway
Jeff, thanks for telling us about your experience with Methylene Blue. I saw in one of your other videos that you used it as part of your daily routine. I was surprised, but thought I'd try it too. I didn't use the same brand as you, but found it made me feel anxious so I stopped it after a couple of days.

Fruit and veg are full of minerals. I don’t understand why I have to have it in my drinking water. It’s a pass for me, unless there is a double blind placebo controlled study showing benefits.
It is not just the lack of nutrients in demineralised water that is problematic. Demineralised water directly adversely affects cells - possibly through osmotic shock. There is evidence of harm from drinking demineralised water both from human ecological studies and animal trials. Demanding RCTs to demonstrate benefits from remineralising water seems a bit topsy-turvy. In effect, distilled water is a highly processed "food" not a whole food.
Jeff, I’m going to be honest with you. I couldn’t stop laughing at this. You’re my vegan Rock of Gibraltar! This was so out of character for you! But thanks for sharing, and glad everything worked out okay. You may now resume being Jeff Nelson. 😀
Let's visit your "stay safe". What is REALLY in your "remineralize" supplement? (remember this is a totally unregulated industry). What's REALLY in those reverse osmosis PLASTIC contraptions?? Microparticulate plastic , maybe? Hmmmm. And what was REALLY in your methylene blue? (unregulated remember?) Could it just have been blue food coloring? ( A very good profit made!!) Very possibly. If it was food grade dye, it probably wouldn't even have garnered a fine, if found out. Just go get the Glass Machine with the 2 high carbon filters. Made in the USA. And you'll be better off than all your supplements & plastic contraptions, & you'll still get ALL your natural minerals.
Really? You should know better. RO wastes a lot of water. Maybe just break down and get a water service delivery. Build a few muscles lifting those 5 gallon bottles.

@ I purchased liquid minerals, and you put some drops into the water to re-mineralize it, that’s what he’s referring to.
I’m drinking distilled water for 20 years now and never mineralized my water. The minerals should come from your food, not from your water.

Question: are the minerals removed by distillation not readily available in plant nutrition? I could Google it, but you probably already have. 😅
