    Part 2 covers how to find the best place on your body for appendix carry comfort and concealment.
    In addition to the tips and instructions linked above, you can find help with the principles behind concealment on our website in the "Educational Resources" drop down menu, and by clicking on "Basics of Concealment Mechanics" or by following this link: www.phlsterholsters.com/the-basics-of-concealment-mechanics/

    Clear and concise description of concealment technique. I am in the can see a point or line here or there but not bad. Carry appendix with full-size handgun and attached spare magazine. Have wing, will incorporate the wedge as well. Also, adjusted belt clips deep enough to tuck best while maintaining adequate grip access for quick draw. Agreed, this process is a fine blend between give and take. Choose your balance. Thank you for the information! 😎☕️

      @@PHLster Yeah, that’s why I figured out I could wear a pair of board shorts with belt loops underneath my scrubs, and then have my belt with sidecar holster, gun and extra mag underneath my scrubs. It makes the gun very accessible, but like you said in this video, the extra layer or two of fabric from the shorts underneath helps smooth out any of the printing from the holster. Thankfully our ER is 65 degrees inside year round, because it would be awfully hot during these summer months otherwise. Personally I can’t wait to get my enigma express for my shield plus in the mail so I can stop wearing so many layers at work.

    I'm *trying* to decide whether appendix carry is for me or not. But I cannot get past the fact that it *looks* just so damn uncomfortable and, frankly, downright *dangerous* when seated. I'm sorry, but I just don't see how it doesn't dig into your gut, and how it doesn't point the barrel of the gun directly at your genitalia, particularly when seated in a car where the seat-bottom tends to tilt upwards.
    Are there any videos that can explain how it *isn't* horribly uncomfortable and dangerous?

      I don't want to shoot myself in the junk....

    • @williamstiefel3908
      @williamstiefel3908 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When in a properly fit holster, there is nothing that can touch the trigger, so NOTHING can make the weapon shoot your junk or your leg or Femoral Artery. That’s not an issue, however… pressing into your gut or pressing into your genital areas is a possibility depending on how your body build and also seatbelt use. A properly placed seatbelt strap placed over your lap to hold you in the seat during a collision goes across your pelvis (hips) and holds your butt in the car seat. The upper part of the strap crosses over your chest and holds your upper torso against the seat so you don’t eat the windshield. It’s the lower part that causes the pressure against your sensitive areas. If you are heavyset, it’s going to be more of an issue than with skinny folks. Appendix carry for heavyset people is problematic in itself because there’s no way to hide a weapon from printing if you carry appendix since your gut already sticks out farther than your natural waistline, placing a holster there just makes it even more noticeable. At that point you might as well just carry OWB at 3 o clock or 9 o clock positions. Because everyone is going to see it anyways, you won’t be hiding anything concealed

    • @pastorpaulfbc
      @pastorpaulfbc ปีที่แล้ว

      @@williamstiefel3908 I'm overweight, and I carry most of the time at 3:00. My arm hanging down at my side helps to hide any potential printing, and the fact that most people aren't looking for someone else carrying a firearm assures me that no one knows I'm carrying. I watch people fairly carefully, and I think I'd notice if someone gave me a second look.
