Muy buenas mulas muchas felicidades ahora entiendo por que a mi padre le gustaban mas los muletos que los caballos son los 4x4 para los caminos malos de la sierra de sinaloa y durango mexico...
idk why all the negative comments, thats their heads naturaly are...yes teh saddle is too far up but at least they its not too much on his back...and it seems that he knows his job and is not showing signs of destress....he looks pretty smooth to ride haha
Everything from start to finish was horrible. People like this are lucky to have such nice minded animals. That’s the only way they get away with this crap. Imagine what the mules could do if treated correctly.
You can see marks on either side of the wither from the saddle being placed on top of the wither. It's also tipped uphill significantly because it's placed too far forwards and this will place a huge amount of pressure also under the cantle of the saddle. The saddle should not be on top of the wither and shoulder. Don't care what breed/discipline/whatever you are talking about. The shoulder needs to move. No one rides on top of the wither whether bareback, racing, english, western.. whatever. Unless they are incorrect… like shown here.
Why use a crupper when you already put the saddle on the mule's withers? Probably hurts having a saddle that far up the neck, a guy sitting on it AND having a crupper pull on your tail for being too tight... :/
Despite all the negative comments, these mules' mouths aren't even being held, their natural head and neck positions are what they are, try not to think of a horse when you're looking at these guys, they're trained like lets use an example of paso fino horses, no torture here.
I don’t know what everyone is saying about how cruel the bit is - I never saw the mouthpiece. But it isn’t the mouth piece or the length of the shank....it is how the hands are used that determine the cruelty of the bits. The biggest smoothest snaffle can do as much damage if used in a bad way as anything. I have seen horses ridden with long shank curbs and small bradoons wrapped in copper wire with not a hair out of place, no rubs etc and the horse flex’s beautifully, never gapes it’s mouth open and works on a dime with 8 cents in change - it is the rider’s hand, seat, and legs that determine how a horse responds and with that proper training, This mule would need to be completely restarted to get rid of bad habits, gain trust, and introduce some flexibility and softness. Mules will never handle or move like horses - but they can be a whole lot better. Someone mentioned this was only for show - I hope he meant to show how not to ride because I don’t know of any show - mule or horse where this would win any ribbons. Maybe asked to leave the grounds. After riding and showing all of the following - western, hunt seat on the flat and over fences and American Saddlebreds 3 and 5 gaited - this is pathetic and sad way to treat an animal. I have handled and ridden Arabians, Morgans, TBs, Hackneys, Saddlebreds, TWHs, Welsh, Quarter horses, and a few mules (on trails) - none were ever saddled like this nor a crupper placed in such a cruel position. It is no wonder his withers were all rubbed up - hate to see the underside of his tail. And yes mules can be ridden with hunt seat saddles, saddle seat saddles, dressage saddles, trail type saddles in addition to western. Like all saddles and equipment - they must fit the animal and have adequate padding and be properly placed. Plenty are ridden in other than western everyday without any problems. If riding steep hills - crullers, breeching and/or breast straps might be required. but then that’s the case for horses. Many mules - depending on mare breed - are more angular and as I said might need more padding - whether in the saddle itself, the pad underneath, or both.
I agree with the saddle issue when the bit being too strong for this mules level of training ...however ..A gaited mule exists for those who think this guy is somehow forcing this mule into an unnatural gait....with proper breeding..the mule naturally inherits being gaited when a donkey is bred to a gaited mare.
I enjoy seeing all the different styles, breeds, techniques & traditions within the equine world. However, in this day & age with all of our available information & knowledge via the internet etc... we now get to compare “apples with apples”! I’m not a fan of forcing a horse into an unnatural gait but if that’s your thing, then it can be done in a more natural way. Putting aside traditions, saddles, tack, bits or the way we sit on a horse/mule/donkey... so on & so on... we do have the ability to see if something don’t look right: “Muscle tone & confirmation of the animal”! If we desire to ride an animal then we need to develop the top line of the animal, from the poll through to the hindquarters. The muscles in the underside of the neck speaks volumes & this tells me that there will be veterinary issues & possible behavioural issues to deal with later on in the animals life. Those of us in the English Dressage world may view this video with shock & horror... however, even though a dressage rider maybe seated with greater posture & present themselves with an overall prettier picture... the fact is, the dressage horse suffers tremendously in body, mind, stomach... & sadly, extreme behavioural issues, which many wealthy owners won’t hesitate to send these desperate, selfless animals off to the slaughter. Let’s face it: to train a horse the “Piaffe”, you need to annoy the crap out of the horse over & over until the horse gives in. If it doesn’t, then the human does & then declares that the animal is no good & unruly! So before we view some else’s traditions through our traditional way of thinking, we need to look at the animal & ask; is the animal holding a more natural frame?... being for the health & longevity of the ridden horse, mule or donkey etc... And not how we want every one to look on a horse, mule or donkey etc... “Keep it Real” 🐎
Their Cruel in the way they treat and handle these beautiful Mules and horses no compassion and the bits they use are abusive. It's so sad they think this is a normal way to be and have no respect for animals at all and raising their kids to be just as cruel...I'd like to see this done to them they'd be crying like babies,,,the things people are willing to force upon animals is appalling and do it for no better reason than they can
questions! the briddle is attached just in time to mount at the same device you use to conduct unmounted? is that thing on the tail necessary to avoid the saddle to run to the front or just routine? you "make' or "order" it to walk gaited or is it itś natural movement? thanks, loved to watch!
Saddles on the mule should never sit on the shoulder or restrict it in anyway. You can't even saddle a mule the same way you saddle a horse as they're built so differently.
Esse cavaleiro gosta de muntar é no pescoço do muar? Manda ele arredar a cela um pouco mais para trás. Pois o animal é exelente, mas está sendo prejudicado pela posição da cela.
This whole video made me really sad...mad...smad! The poor mule looks very stiff and uncomfortable. That saddle placement is just horrid, which is obvious by the rub marks on the mules back. The bit is way too harsh and handled badly, which explains the mules tendency to through her head up. The mans eq is sad to watch and the mounting at some point to I guess show the mules patience is so bad for her back. A lovely animal but handled so poorly. Truly a shame😔
You obviously are a idiot , keep your useless opinion to yourself and go study abortion and all the things you tree hugging Democrats love and leave the equine business to the men , I'm politely telling you to fuck off , I figured your not smart enough to read between the lines
Beautiful!! Every sport is different. These mules are doing the work of a Paso Fino, not english-style riding horse. I am fascinated by their beauty, fitness and care. To those who incorrectly thought the mule was in pain, his ears would be pinned back to indicate that the whole time. observe with an open mind and learn something.
it has nothing too do with english riding to do, but about ũndestanding have the animal are bildt you are not a horse, muel, or any animal person if you cant see that. from dk
Para hacer lindos productos usan los machos de ''baudet du Poitou'' u ' âne du Poitou''...(Francia) burros muy fuertes, grandes, amables, altos... usados en el mundo para eso!!!.. Saludos de Francia..
This is a Paso Fino mule. They are small horses, but strong. It’s not an English saddle, but Spanish. I have always thought the Puerto Rican riders rode too far forward on the horses back, the mule looks the same. The horse and mule both look uncomfortable. I am looking with American eyes, however. Not all mules gait the same way. Lumping them together is ignorance.
Saddle is way too far up on shoulders. You could see the white hairs where it friction rubs (before he put the saddle on). Surprising she is willing to move as nice nicely as she does.
