There is a big problem with net zero without gas or coal. That is what happens when South-eastern Australia is cloud covered with very mild wind conditions? We have had this for several days maybe a week now. What backs-up the renewable supplies in such conditions. It has to be gas, coal or nuclear. And that is the central problem. Renewables can never be truly cost effective because they need to be backed up. Will the BOM publish detailed data on the number of cloudy days, low wind days and days with cloud and low wind so we can can understand the size of the problem.
Sadly the BOM are backers of wind and solar. There has been widespread cloud cover since the drought broke in 2019. The 'radiance' has dropped 12% in the past two years in the NSW Central West. Who will cover your energy needs when NSW roll out its renewables? Who will Australia turn to?

Kevin, the answer to your end Question is NO.... they won't allow you to have that Data, because it WILL show how bad Renewables for Base load actually are.
Australia is much larger than Europe. But in Europe there live around 800M people, if course the Aussies wouldn't quite anticipate how difficult this challenge now is.
I used to spend about £20 a week in fuel to get to work. I now spend about £30 a week to get to work. Finance experts are saying it will go up even more, they are saying it will be more like £40 a week for me to get to work. That will make the cost of food sky high, its already nearly £10-12 for a weekly shop more expensive. Which is about 30% more for me... This war in Ukraine is costing us in the UK a lot of money. And that doesnt count the extra for gas and electric, which has also doubled in price.
I don’t think it’s surprising that Australians are not aware of the European energy crisis? Most of the European politicians don’t seem to be aware of the fact either.
German so-called 'climate policy' has led to countries becoming dependent on gas from Russia despite repeated attempts to warn about the dangers of political blackmail in the absence of diversifications of supplies. It is Germany who bears the main blame for this condition by building gas pipelines from Russia along the bottom of the Baltic Sea, bypassing the territories of EU countries
Most Australians wouldn't be aware that Australian Coal shares have trippled, and our Gas will follow, while our gas and coal will go to Europe, at our expense!
Australian coal is also used extensively in the manufacture of wind turbines and solar panels. And proponents of this infrastructure want to fill up the coal mines with cement. Ignorant fools.
Never stop using something until you have something to take its place. Why stop using nuclear? Coal and nuclear technology has improved hugely recently.
We as a nation should be cashing in on this demand for energy ,, Our national debt gone in one winter ,, but watch the two cartels drop the ball and restrict the private companies that really control energy ,remember the government doesn't make or export anything they just take to cash hard earned !

This push for green energy in Australia will turn us into a third world nation. As you rightly pointed out we don't have neighbouring countries to bail us out in times of energy shortages. I like Australia.he was right and smart. I agree with him. People around the world don't understand it I hope others heard from you about energy crisis oh well . educational
There is no energy crisis, it's all manufactured to inflate the price. Energy company is benefiting while the people are suffering. the supply is there, the demand is the same but the price is high.
Tell that to Germany and the UK. They are the most heavily invested in renewables. Wind turbines deliver energy on average less than 30% of the time and solar panels less than 25% on average. Doesn't matter how much of this infrastructure you install if the wind isn't blowing and the sun isn't shining there is no energy! Germany was forced to purchase more than 50% of its gas supplies and 30% of oil from Russia due to shortfalls. They also purchases electricity from France, a country that runs predominantly on nuclear energy. The prices are high because they have to pay other countries to cover the needs of their people. I'd call that a massive energy crisis! The war between Russia and Ukraine has added to the crisis on a massive scale.
Yes, why else would we be worried about a war on the other side of the planet, unless some GROUP, want to IMPACT YOU to suit Their needs. Every war, someone always gets richer, this time probably one of the Oligarcs.

I wish you had asked him some better researched questions. Very little mention was made of nuclear power even though the UK are planning another 8 reactors to go with the 11 they already have. The French already supply 25% of the European power grid with nuclear power and 75% of their own power and they are fast tracking big expansions to bring more on line. 91% of their power is generated through nuclear and hydro and even though everyone says nuclear is too expensive French consumers are paying half as much for their power as their neighbor Germany who are closing down coal and nuclear for renewables. The recent failure of renewables (wind power) in Europe started the panic and the Russia, Ukraine war and energy dependence on Russia now sees them desperate for alternatives. No one's looking to renewables for a solution. Australia's attitude towards nuclear makes us look like we are from another universe and most of it is generated through propaganda and disinformation. Nuclear is the new Green Energy and with advances being explored right now it could power the world for 1000 years. I'm not anti renewables but I've also read our history and our civilization has consistently moved to denser energy sources because older sources became unsustainable or were depleted. Renewables will take us back to pre industrial revolution days but at least the dung and wood we burnt for fuel back then could be used at any time instead of only when the winds blowing and the sun's shining.
I was advised that if our processing plants close it’s send send send to china 🇨🇳 for next to nothing but we pay! Plus we will never process anything here again!
The energy crisis in the Northern Hemisphere wouldn't be happening if they had rejected wind and solar. They were forced to purchase their energy shortfalls from Russia and now they are paying the price, a very costly one at that.
Britain and America are fueling the conflict in Ukraine by supplying more and more weapons. Russia will be able to destroy the nazis, and these countries will suffer and pay for their SINS.!!!!!

I hope the greenies are listening to this energy conservation they may learn something than again they never will they think they know better despite the facts are in front of them
I would say serious, not disastrous. For one thing, the crisis at least informed the public that going 'green' was nice and a goal to work for, but that none of us are ready to convert without problems. Germany in particular had control of their energy concerns when they turned from conventional energy production only to find the green alternatives fell well short of plans.
Lets wake up, we have the reserves here on our own doorstep lets utilise it. Naïve people who think zero emissions is real are delusional, you need fossil fuels to create renewables cant people see that. Just because the solar panels sitting on your roof and the batteries in your house don't emit any emission, that doesn't tell even half the story. How do you think panels are made? the same machines mining for coal are mining for silica etc.. the panels need to be manufactured etc... Just wake up. Anyone who sits there and thinks that is the whole story is a fool.
We talk about energy especially Gas into the Australia market and security the Gorgon Project was to provide 2000 petajoules of gas for delivery into the domestic market has this been met or is this corporate hype and we need to stop exporting our energy resources overseas and hold reserves locally. The biggest and most serious issue of Australia that is not being discussed is the declining birthrate and the halt of Australian population growth for 46 consecutive years. Since 1976, the birthrate per female is below 2.1. The Australian population growth in the past 10-15 years is 50-70% immigration.
The economic policy of Australia without serious intervention or change of course, will in a number of years conclude the destruction of it's European people and founders of this nation. "Liberal" Democracy is doing exactly what it is designed to do. Australia is in line to be the first state to suffer a catastrophic and unrecoverable damage in the coming decades.

Without democracy every nation has died. Every country with democracy is thriving. We have challenges and we will face them and conquer them. This video demonstrates and articulates that.
What a breath of fresh air and honesty. Let's hope they don't burn him at the stake for heresy.
Yes exactly what our politician’s are striving for
And in America.
This is the
Build Back Better! Policy! Of Biden and Boris.
He cut off the gas piipe line within his first days in office, with the stroke of a pen.
He also screwed our allies by making them dependant on Russia. Everybody got screwed except Putin and Opec
Yeah. That was ridiculous. Why did they allow that to happen?
Hey 👋 how are you doing?
Then the Penny drops, and they both say, .....well what do we do now??????
Strong leadership is needed not woke pandering
Democracy cannot produce strong leadership. You need to become a Republic.
We really need to build new HELE Coal fired power stations along with legalising Nuclear. Heck even with Coal you can have ZERO emmissions plats via the use of algea which then could be turned into bio diesel and jet fuel. Also the country needs to build approx 58-59 of the 300ML fuel storage facility the US MIlitary are buildings in Darwin and we need to build new refineries here in Australia to get us back to over 80% of all refuels refined here in Australia with at least 100+ days of crude stored in country approx 200 days is more ideal as that would allow goverment to have a buffer when then prices increase. This heps costs low on everyone. Refined fuel with the correct aditives can last 2-3 years!.
There is an energy crisis in Europe
Imagine, Russia has not even turn off the gas to Europe yet. Just Poland and Bulgaria whom refuse to pay their bills.
Unfortunately your advantage Australian is dumped down and self focussed, they have no idea what Europe will go through with no oil especially when winter hits and they also have no idea about food shortages that will hit here but will crush Europe first.
16 food processing plants destroyed in the States , Bill Gates and China in farmlands in the States .China has acquired many rights in ports around the world
Conservatives have been saying this for a while now.
There are no conservatives in Australia. They have all leftist parties.
That's what green energy brings.

Finally the truth. Wake up Australia, these people are living what labor want to do to us.
The whole war is not caused by Russia fully, remember Russia wanted the war to be a short period one, but is escalated to ensure a continual war by US and Biden. Thus, gas and food crisis, and financial ruins started to escalate as well.
Exactly, and they have ACCESS to Nuclear. We don't really have a "plan B".
I been saying for a while now. F Green Energy bring up the coal energy and nuclear power
I thought the IMF just announced economic collapse was inevitable

No Vax , no votes for scumbo , Dumbo, rainbow weddings, cooking families in Canberra. Empty chamber when Kelly was talking. I am sure we pay them to be there. They weren't. I don't get paid if I don't work. Hang onto to Liddell and anything else that burns coal and generates. We need backup, pollies will have you living in the dark, and sold off.
Kevin, the answer to your end Question is NO.... they won't allow you to have that Data, because it WILL show how bad Renewables for Base load actually are.
Let the greens all live in the dark. They’re blind to reality already.
Give them an Island with no mined or processed product, tools, or devices, they can start their utopia from scratch, see how they go.
Many Australians are not aware of much at all, sky news keeps them informed.

Only unfriendly countries have to pay in Rubles.
Disasters are natural, crises are manmade. #buildbackgallows

Coal Man adores you.
Hello 👋 how are you doing?
How can you worry about energy when the big guy's 10% is at stake in eastern Europe?
Growing population = more energy needed. Next question please?
Shrink the population numbers.
*Coal has tripled in price in the UK from £100 to £300 a Ton !*
Almost no gas will go and not much coal. Shipping is booked out for a very long period. Easy to search it.
Never stop using something until you have something to take its place. Why stop using nuclear? Coal and nuclear technology has improved hugely recently.
As all businesses, Have the right to deny services to any customer.
We as a nation should be cashing in on this demand for energy ,,
Our national debt gone in one winter ,, but watch the two cartels drop the ball and restrict the private companies that really control energy ,remember the government doesn't make or export anything they just take to cash hard earned !
Those Australians that are ignorant to other countries energy crisis especially the European countries should not vote
If any country needs to tread slowly is us as atleast in Europe they have are closer to country's who will be able to help them out in short term
We are so remote that we get it wrong their is no one just around the corner to come help us out as not like flicking the switch like you do now for power
Alsp remember who has closed all the coal power stations then destroyed them so couldn't be used again that's what you'll get if you put Labor in power
It doesn't reduce pollution as other stations now having to work flat out creating more pollution as maintenance slips
Do you remember how it went up after destroying the power stations
electricity has come down under present government but how much longer who knows
We will be watching live on TV like before Labor blowing up power stations as before and electricity getting more expensive and less of it blackout like parts of India
Also we have the evidence it doesn't work look at Europe
This push for green energy in Australia will turn us into a third world nation. As you rightly pointed out we don't have neighbouring countries to bail us out in times of energy shortages. Australia is also the only so called wealthy nation which doesn't have nuclear energy. The population here is only ignorant of the energy crisis in the Northern Hemisphere because the billionaires who are pushing it have paid off the MSM to keep their mouths shut.
You guys still have New Zealand nearby. :)

Insane
Yay common sense. will prevaile Australia has enough coal to supply the entire world for 200 years
Because there is none..
This is what happens when your country invests on war and not its people and technologies.
The only net zero is between albos ears
We should sell them some batteries full of sunshine! We could do refills.

There's a reason why the CCP has no interest in net zero.
There's a reason why the CCP has no interest in LGBTIA rights.
There's a reason why the CCP has no interest in justice on the High Seas.
There's a reason why the CCP has no interest in paying its citizens a living wage.
And there's a reason why the CCP has EVERY interest in the Solomon Islands, Australian port leases, mining leases, primary production ownership and Government influence in USA, Europe, NZ and every Australian state.
The world needs to wake up to why the CCP maintains interests and lack of interests in the exact opposite direction to every western country.
The Answer, ...China want to take over every country they can, and Influence every decision made about Economics or Trade, because they want to CONTROL everything and Every Country, that they can "hoodwink" into STUPID deals.
Yes this block is right. Governments or wasting to much money on pet projects the billionaires are just profiting of taxpayers money.
Why learn from some other country when we can reinvent the wheel ourselves in terms of energy policy
And here in the USA, energy is four-letter word.
I don’t agree with global warming or net zero. I’ve voted against it in every election. Why are they ignoring the millions like me that don’t want it?
They're trying to take over the world the NWO. NO OIL NO GAS NO COAL NO JOBS NO COUNTRY. Get it yet . We are fighting the old West's NWO . Trump got in the way. Now we are fighting with the Western Resistance. 👍💯
At last a bit of common sense it was always pie in the sky green energy taking over the power market we have to be realistic what can be achieved and not pander to the rich greenies.
From a poor and about to be poorer gas user in the UK lucky i,m spending next UK winter in OZ.
Australians only know of the UK in Europe. And even then they say UK and Europe 😂

*What to do with useless eaters WEF. In the industrial revolution in the 19 century what humanity basically learned to produce like all kinds of stuff like textiles, shoes, weapons, and vehicles and this was enough for a few countries that underwent the revolution fast enough to subjugate everybody else. What your talking about now is the second industrial revolution but the product this time wil not be textiles or machines or vehicles or even weapons. The products this time will be humans themselves. We are basically learning to produce bodies and minds. Yuval Noah Harari WEF Adviser.*

*UK Has only 8 Nuclear Power Stations !*
I was advised that if our processing plants close it’s send send send to china 🇨🇳 for next to nothing but we pay!
Plus we will never process anything here again!
Net zero is not in itself a bad idea, but we should plan it and implement it properly and gradually.
Wonderful Hydrogen, burn it and no CO2 just water vapour. Oh, did anyone mention that water vapour is a worse greenhouse gas than CO2?
Might explain why Europe, especially the UK, is desperate to end the Ukraine war.
Almost like a long conflict affects them as well.
The UK goal is to extend the war for as long as possible
The energy crisis in the Northern Hemisphere wouldn't be happening if they had rejected wind and solar. They were forced to purchase their energy shortfalls from Russia and now they are paying the price, a very costly one at that.
Britain and America are fueling the conflict in Ukraine by supplying more and more weapons. Russia will be able to destroy the nazis, and these countries will suffer and pay for their SINS.!!!!!
Russia cut the two country oil off is because they did not pay for the service.
Thanks for*cov id* it was beginning
If Australia let a hostile foreign power take control of a neigbouring country then this type of thing could happen. Fortunately, the coalition government would nver let a hostile foreign nation gain a foothold in a country close to Australia

timed scheduled blackouts throughout the country.
While these stupid children are talking about getting rid of energy.
I saw wind turbines in RSA and wondered who approved that when wind is such a small energy provider.
Wind turbines should be small and local to each home like how we use solar panels not on the greedy grid.
Every time I flush the toilet I think of climate control
I hope the greenies are listening to this energy conservation they may learn something than again they never will they think they know better despite the facts are in front of them
I would say serious, not disastrous. For one thing, the crisis at least informed the public that going 'green' was nice and a goal to work for, but that none of us are ready to convert without problems. Germany in particular had control of their energy concerns when they turned from conventional energy production only to find the green alternatives fell well short of plans.

and He will deliver you"

It is all well and fine to demonize coal and oil but you better have something to replace them _and we do not._
*Shouldn't have gone to Ukraine.*
One of the most rubbish agreement is that US is holding our oil reserves.
