Aw Julia! I think I was friends with my husband and was playing video games together. Realized I was in love with my best friend and had to go break up with them suddenly and wouldn’t accept his invitation for a month. My husband after I dumped my ex was unsure if I had interest because “It’ll die with me” is apparently what I said but I don’t remember 😂 it’s been 10 years so we rely on joint memory.

I think the biggest thing about their interactions is that Jacob presents himself as a gremlin, but ends up exasperated by shenanigans. Julia, meanwhile, appears to be pretty unassuming and straightlaced but is a being of pure chaos.
Stanley parable really was just the best game for Julia because it allows her to stay on track with it while also feeling like she’s going off track because that’s what the game is lol

If Drawfee where a sitcom, Jacob would be the straight man (the character with the most normal personality who exists to compliment the other characters' more extreme personalities, and also to serve as an audience surrogate by pointing out how WaCkY something is), while Julia would be the 4th wall aware character (who exists to break the 4th wall by acknowledging and breaking typical sitcom tropes)
Jacob is kind of like a jeff winger straight man though, where hes both fully capable of being the foil and "normal" one, but also can go way crazier than anyone else around him.

not to be like,,, parasocial about this but one thing i've repeatedly noticed about Jacob and Julia in various drawfee videos that i think is so endearing is that Julia is kind of known for like... obscure references, unique associations, just generally different thought pathways than the others, right? i've come across lots of moments where she makes one of those references or makes a really cryptic statement etc etc, and usually, the reaction from Nathan and/or Karina is just "?????" (obviously in a positive way, i'm assuming we all understand Drawfee dynamics here) and literally every time, without missing a beat and in a tone that implies that this is just another Tuesday occurrence to him, Jacob chimes in to contextualise Julia's thought process or explain the reference. and i just,,, i love that. i'm a big believer in the saying "being known is being loved", and stuff like this, to me, is the epitome of being known. a closeness like that that can only come from a real, genuine connection and that is always a beautiful thing to see.

This morning I learned how my parents really view me and think about my chronic illness/disability that has ruined my life and caused me to live with them, and I spent most of the day crying and trying to come to terms with it and feeling utterly heartbroken at things my mom said, and I came to TH-cam to put something on to fall asleep to. Instead, I saw this and was smiling and even managed to laugh a few times. So thank you.

I know this is weird to say, but I want to suggest a vtuber called Ironmouse, perhaps she could bring some solace; she also lives with a chronic disability and stays with her parents. Maybe it could help you find someone who understands and help you feel less alone.

Hey! 6months after you posted this comment, but just wanted to weigh in and say that your chronic illness / disability is not your fault and you're doing great! ((I just know that a lot of the time others with disabilities like my own tend to feel like "oh if I was a little more careful I wouldn't be in pain, if I didn't do X then I wouldn't be hurting now," etc etc., so I wanted to just give a lil reminder that you are NOT at fault for disability / chronic illness etc., no matter what your brain tells you!)) also, 6 months is a great length of time after which to come back and re-watch comfort videos :3

Something similar happened to me a few years ago. I don’t know what your situation is but i was able to move out and start my transition, and both of those things helped immensely. Being able to leave their house was bc of our financial privileges, so I don’t want to say something’s definitely possible when like. Society.
But I hope you are able to have the relative freedom you deserve. You’re sort of the only one who’s allowed to feel as if your life/future have been ruined, other people don’t get to impose that on you. It’ll probably take the rest of my life to accept what “chronic” actually means for myself, but leaving the shame cycles and refusing to put up with anybody else’s bullshit about my disabilities helped a lot. I’m not actually as bothered by them as my family or the world around me is. Good luck ❤
