I agree with targeting to maximize the output for a positive sum game and everyone gets awarded. However i would caution that you have to make sure all your team member felt they are empowered and properly treated as part of the team. The reason “in winning team no one cared about who gets the credit” is because they all feel happy about the credit they are awarded. This is human nature. If you ignore this we are going back to wishful thinking.

There are many differences between a boss and a leader. For me the clearest difference is that a boss demands respect and a leader earns it.
