- Humsafar trains are premium luxury trains designed by Indian Railways to provide services for long-haul routes, are entirely 3-tier AC sleeper trains
The Humsafar Express has GPS-based passenger information system and is equipped with safety measures in compartments like fire and smoke detectors and CCTV cameras. Its coaches are equipped with charging ports for electronic devices such as mobile phones etc.
There are reading lights for all passengers and easy ergonomic upper berth arrangements too. The berths in Humsafar express are a lot more comfortable than the previous 3-tier AC sleeper rakes. These compartments also have bio-toilets.
There are facilities like baby nappy changing pads and tea and coffee vending machines.The exterior of coaches has a futuristic look with the use of vinyl sheets.
Each coach is equipped with a heating chamber as well as a refrigerating box to preserve the food brought from home.
Every coupe and side berth has curtains to maintain privacy.
The berths are now more comfortable than the previous 3-tier AC sleeper with Khadi bedrolls.
The LED screens on Humsafar Express display information about stations, train speed and have an announcement system too.

Recently I got a chance to travel in Vijayawada-Howrah Humsafar Express (20890). The interior of the train was similar to the other traditional 3A coaches (Blue one).
The information display was not working.
Side curtains were also not provided.
Doesn't have any Aqua Guard.
The side lower berth doesn't have that extra smooth bed that Hamsafar Exp had promised to provide.
Even there was no reading light and most importantly it doesn't have person to person separate changing points (USB one) that Rail promised to provide in Humsafar Exp.
Toilet was very dirty (not like that rail promised).
Food was aslo bad and over priced.
Overall it's like Indian Railways just repainted a traditional blue 3A coach and started calling it Hamsafar express.

I do not think these facilities are provided in all the Humsafars. Recently I travelled to KRPUram ,from Bhubaneswar in Humsafar express.The condition of the coaches were as any other third a.c coaches. There is no point of taking higher charges in the name of Humsafar express. The condition 9f the wash rooms were very bad. Sorry state of affairs.
All Facility available in Original Humsafar Coach may be you got normal LHB Coach

Pantrya Manager single trip mein appx. 10,000/- ki samaan Bacharach hai, Kyonki passengers Ko poora samaan nahi diya jaata. Even water bottle bhi nahi di jaati. NZM-Bangalore Rajdhani Exp. mein jab tak aap 3 Baar nahi mangoge aap ko 2nd bottle paani ki nahi dete. Shit.

Very recently I travelled in Howrah-Yesvantpur Humsafar Express and I saw it was worse than ordinary AC 3 TIER Coach. There were no facilities that a premium train should have provided. Even proper hygiene lacked in this train. None of the things that are advertised are there in this train.
