While this is a place for celebration, I'll flat out say that this is a *very* questionable induction.
He won little, including individual accolades. He had one 100 point season, his only hitting even 90 points. A poor version of a compiler.
Imagine some people were sour about Andreychuk. At least he had two 50 goal seasons and ended with a whopping 640 in total. He also held the record for most power play goals in history when he was inducted.
Seems like a simple ''good guy'' pick for someone who was on the outside looking in. I still remember him purposely hitting Niedermayer with a slap shot to end a period back in the day. Honestly one of the most cowardly things I've ever seen in sports.

Its the HOCKEY HOF not NHL HOF. He was the leading scorer and alternate captain on the 2006 Gold Medal Winning Sweden Olympic team. He also won an Olympic Silver medel as well. He helped Frolunda win the Swedish Elite League title in the Lockout year, 6 time NHL All star, Over 1,000 NHL points, First European Captain to lead his team to the Stanley Cup Finals and in the first decade of the millennium (2000-2010), he was the third leading NHL scorer which demonstrates how elite he was in his prime.

Tretiak is in the HHoF and never played an NHL game.
Swedish Elite League? That's like bringing up ECHL accolades.

Critical error. Ozolins played in seven All Star Games. They mean nothing. John Scott played in an All Star Game and won MVP honours.
1,000 points is not a HHoF mark. That's nothing for a compiler.
Being the first from a continent to be a captain of a team that lost in the Stanley Cup Finals is not an achievement.
Comparing decades is futile, as players of different generations play in the same decade. Missing even single a year gives others a massive edge. Alfie had only one year that can be considered elite, 2006. That year he was on the second All Star Team, meaning he was not even the best in his position that year.
