Apparently this masterpiece was meant to signify the transfer era from 92 - 93, everything went from smiley to worse to a point when e's went a bit moody and the the quality went downhill relatively quickly compared to previous years. They really did produce a beautiful piece of nostalgia with this one. Worth a fortune and I wish I was at an illegal rave right now.

It started off as a contest between the peeps behind this to see who could create a kick arse tune in the quickest time (or summin like that) - this was created in like 15 mins or so - Tom & Jerry - The Second Reason is the flip side

There are shit-ton of different sounds; beats; textures; etc. that all fit together harmonically even though they're sampled from a shit ton of random sources. As quasi sound designers Marc & Dego obviously had these sounds ready to go, but even if they had somehow chosen all the perfect sounds in one perfect sweep they wouldn't have even been able to upload them in 15 minutes and make an arrangement, let alone mix it, add in all the edits, and balance the ridiculous amount of sounds together. And arranging it in this sublime way? That could only be done by a Quincy Jones type level composer. Still, I love this song to pieces, but I highly doubt it was made in 15 minutes. I'd like to know the whole process if that were true.

Marc & Dego's tune output in terms of numbers of tunes was prodigious. I mean it was a small amount if people (Goldie/Rufige Cru/Manix etc) responsible for soooo msny dark 92/93 tunes. They would have known their samples inside out. I agree though 15 mins is fckin quick
