I'm not surprised at all with Indiana's 3-0 start. Cignetti knows how to win no matter where he goes. And I recognize some of the names on the team because they came from JMU.
No. UCLA just isn't good. Indiana is the one of the worst teams in the BIG10. They are lucky if they win 6 games a year. Most BIG10 teams roll over them.
@@rsmith317 Come on. They will lose 7 out their 9 next games. To be nice, maybe 6 out of their next 9 games. So that leaves them at 6 in a best case scenario. UCLA is like playing a Rutgers or Maryland.
Long term yes, short term no. Chip had reached a ceiling - 5-4, plus schedule 3 cupcake pre-season games to pad the record and make it look good. But, Jarmond followed it up with hiring someone that was not qualified and Foster took the job behind the 8 ball, getting the job late, and having the talent cupboard left bare courtesy of Chip. This is on Jarmond, and Chip
Only the people who don't follow UCLA closely think Chip was doing a good job. He'd lose at least two games a season to teams with less talent because he'd get badly out-coached. They had a really good offense for a couple seasons, but the defense was terrible because he kept his friend as the coordinator for too long. He finally fired him before last season and the defense was great, but it was too late because all the best players on offense were gone. Finishing the season at the tail end of the top 25 was the best this team was ever going to be with Chip, and that was only half the time.
From an LSU fan. . . After watching the Tigers' first three games of the season, UCLA has a good chance against the overrated (IMO) Tigers and their porous defense. The biggest factor may be LSU's home field advantage.
