I don't agree, ZZZ doesn't have that graffiti art style, and the animations are different. This is still Genshin, but they have decided to spice things up with some of the recent additions.

For sure, Mualani and Xilonen are must pulls (I really love her skates). With how mobile all the Natlan characters are, I really hope they just straight up give Himeko a motorcycle
*Mualani* seems like *fun...* and she can _even_ hit hard, whenever the stars align! *Neuvillette* is still the best Hydro DPS, no questions... but the competition is *fun* and overworld friendly! ^^
Problem with solo xiangling is her energy recharge. If you put too much, then her damage will drop. Will pull her when there are better pyro applicators ingame.
Same as aggravate without Nahida sacrifices a lot of dendro dmg for aggravate dmg. But we’re doing the main dps route here anyway so doesn’t really matter too much. Navia be one shotting everything without a dmg Xiangling, too.
Has anyone noticed that she uses what it seems like the latest animation techniques that are in zzz? Animation is a lot faster. You can easily see by just switching between her and other characters and just moving them side to side and see how she reacts. It looks like she has more animation frames overall. It's very noticeable when you switch characters there's a slowness to them like they were based off of a 30 FPS animation. I haven't been big on genshin character designs after sumeru, but she's pretty darn nice I'm not mad at her at all.
An HP-scaling Hydro DPS unit... it feels like she was either meant to release with Fontaine, like Ayaka released before Inazuma, or like she's supposed to ease the transition into Natlan's mechanics by giving us familiar territory.
Mualani seems really cute, but definitely a skip along with Kinich for me. I already have Neuvi, and I’m saving my guarantee and stocking up to pull for Xilonen. Determined to not spend any money pulling for the Natlan characters. After that I’m holding out for if there’s a playable pyro dragon. Anyways! Honestly, don't care too much about a unit being strong. In the long term "different" or "nieche" units always won my heart. Plan to get her for sure, hopefully for playing her with Emilie+Nahida+Dehya. Hopefully. Thanks for the first impressions.

Mualani doesn't seem to be a meta defining character to me. However , she looks fun to explore and fight with. I think they really nailed the bubbly and funny character here , like imaginary March 7th but cranked to eleven. I'm definitely pulling her just to goof around with my murder shark .
Probably the moat Bubbly character introduced in Genshin her character animations slightly lean into ZZZ animated territory just a bit but with ZZZ its more cartoony

If players really want to have fun exploring natlan right away I think shes a must pull just for the exploration factor alone. Same with Kinich
Do be cautious abiut your judgement though, since Mualani is a nuke dps in essence and she attacks at slower intervals that yield larger damage per screenshot numbers. Neuvillette would still be better than Mualani against jolting enemies and multi-wave content but Neuvillette is the best hydro character against ST and bosses. She's a bit behind Arlecchino for now, but we will see later when we get pyro archon and have more sub dps in Mualani teams
I really wonder if Thoma is going to work with her. He provides a shield and pyro application, and with the fact that Mualani attacks so infrequently, his slow application may just be enough. I am sniffing a lot of copium with this, but i dont like Xiangling (hence i never built her) and i just really want to use my lvl 90 Thoma lmao
I have a sneaking suspicion that Mavuika will be awesome for her, so I'm ready to invest into her a bit ahead of time. Archons are always really great supports.

I know zhongli shreds res and would help with smoother rotations..but imagine if this was a more offensive comp with kazuha instead or sucrose for that matter and with better artifacts..since these artifacts do not seem super highly invested..like you can get if your luck is good. Jeez.
Now imagine with C1 which basically have a brust for the first shark bite with kazuha xiangling nahida to speedrun, she would probably deal 600k + 700k in 6s

I can see some issues with candace c6 on aoe situation since her missiles come out much later than the sharkbite, but still candace getting a more use is still a win in my book

Applying hydro for reverse vapes is now really easy but the other way around is quite hard still and I just want another off field pyro option besides Xiangling. I might be immediately sold on her depending on her character and role in the upcoming archon quest though.
My two main dps are neuv c1 and alhaitham, don't know if I should pull for maulani or kinich. They look so fun to play but will they add any value to my account unless the former dps are powercrept

About Mualani zhongli team, can i ask if i equip archaic petra on zhongli, starting by using mualani normal atk to apply hydro then use zhongli shield to create hydro crystal. Does zhongli or mualani need to catch the crystal in order to obtain hydro dmg bonus? Plus if xiangling is using instructor, does the dendro core created by nahida E can trigger instructor passive with burning to give more em to Mualani?
Zhongli has to pick the shard for the 4pc Archaic Petra buff For the other question, do you mean Burgeon? Anyway, if Xiangling triggers any reaction (in this case, it can be Burning, Burgeon or even Vaporize) it still kicks the 4-pc Instructor buff, but she has to be on-field for that

And the thing that nobody asked for, but they brought in anyway: Star rail's absurd levels of power creep. (: (Not that it really matters, Sevvy clears abyss 12 every cycle with nothing but 4* characters, but still, the power creep is kind of insane)

You're right, and the recovery time is dependent on the cooldown of the ability, like Mualani's Skill CD. Once it's refreshed, the Nightsoul points will also be full if you use it again :)
She looks cool, But we need more better support characters for her. Personally, I won't be wishing for anyone in 5.0. I already Kazuha and Raiden, And I feel like 5.1 will have rerun characters that I do not have. I need to save.

i was on the fence on pulling mualani but thankyou for doing a more in depth showcase on her, im definitely pulling now

It does sacrifice a lot of damage unfortunately, more so without Bennett. Should definitely have better Pyro alternatives (it IS Natlan after all) :D
Considering Xinyan's SHIELD seems to be enough... Lol. That might make Mualani so much better than everyone is giving her credit for.
Her teams right now are mostly going to be focusing on her own dmg output anyway since you want to focus on keeping the pyro aura in the enemy.

140 pulls - C0 Mualani won 50/50, Mualani Sig, Freedom Sword, C2 Kachina. Not complaining.
What about Kazuha instead of Dendro Char? Provides EM, VV Shred and grouping.

I need to know weather to pull for mualani or kazuha. I currently main arlechino and neuvillete but I rly like mualani but kazuha is better for my current units I started on year ago 4.0 so I don’t have too many 5 stars but enough to clear abyss consistently so should I go for mualani and get zhong linon his rerun or get kazuha

I might not really understand it on the livestream, but the main source of damage for Mualani as well as other Natlan characters will be when they are in this Nightsoul State correct? How fast it usually recovers? Great guide as always, I understood right away how to play her thanks to Your explanation Sevy :D
You're right, and the recovery time is dependent on the cooldown of the ability, like Mualani's Skill CD. Once it's refreshed, the Nightsoul points will also be full if you use it again :)
