I,too, enjoy driving around and taking in everything; love how you did the parts with only videos and no sound. It allowed me time to take it in and reflect of my times there.
Great video...I love driving in Jamaica. My dream is to be able to go at will...working on systemizing my business so I can walk away...and do this for weeks at a time...on other islands too

+frank martin folkes I used my insurance from the US but you may want to bring a copy of your policy that shows that it covers international rental cars. My credit card also covers international rental cars. If you don't have something they will make you pay quite a bit extra. That was my biggest issue with the first time. I downloaded Jamaica on Google Maps so I knew where I was going even without cell signal. I hope this helps enjoy your trip :-)
Bluefields Beach really needs some fixing up and cleaning up-all that litter and those pot-holed and un-paved roads,wow! Would have been nice if more of the communities which you drove through could have been identified. Good video though
thanks one day, got to learn to drive on the other side too, i can do it on the country roads, but get mixed up a little in the city when i got to turn, i live in canada we drive on the right
+melanie boothe-tersigni yes driving on the wrong side of the road 😉 takes me about 2 or 3 days to get used to and I'm usually driving much slower than the rest of traffic.. I also keep turning on the windshield wipers when I'm trying to use the turn signal...
melanie boothe-tersigni haha.. I constantly have to visualize my left tires should always be near the curb or the grass on the side of the road. That's my mental trick but still difficult at big multiple-lane intersections.. anyway 😎 you're making me miss driving in Jamaica
+UserFerguson the rental car was pretty cheap I rented it for 2 weeks around 20 or $23 a day us.. the problem comes when they require insurance for Jamaica specifically.. my credit card covers International car Rental but you have to have a piece of paper from the company showing that or they will not give you the car and charge you super expensive local insurance. Thrifty Car Rental was the worst with the insurance scam.
I'm 58 vet. single, Last year I went on a cruz to Montego Bay, spent the day riding around and the afternoon at Doctors Cave Cove Beach, got some great smoke, before heading out. I want to fly back and bum around, I'm only interested in the free beach's what's the chance of renting a mini van and using it for crashing at night, any camping?
UserFerguson I would get on Facebook make some friends and get someone that you can trust. Some of the locals are great and will totally take care of you if you know them. The car rentals they're a pretty expensive along with the hotels unless you can find a cheap place off the main tourist areas. Jamaica is a beautiful place but it's not always user-friendly.
+Gee Marie it's at least a couple hours because you drive slower in the rural roads but there are some big highways also. You can use Google Maps to plan your trip but add another 30 minutes to an hour
Every time i see videos of Jamaica the place look ruff and the women seems like they been tripple beaten by a hugly stick and kept going back for more. Not one half decent looking woman can make it in the shoot other than the narrator
