RFS used to be my favorite when it was launched in 2019, but I switch back to IF because RFS become boring because they’ve never updated the airports and scenery.
I wish Infinite Flight had the same amount of controls and ATC commands, I think they are really limited in Infinite Flight. What would make the icing on the cake, is to use Google Maps Satellite photos and AIN generated buildings and trees for the improvement on the scenery.
Can you make your own livery in Infinite Flight? You so it in RFS but you have to have if I remember correctly, a SVG editor to use the templates for the livery creation. EDIT: No I found a video that shows you can use the Autodesk app to make your own liveries.
So I have some thoughts on this comparison: Let me guess, RFS is more of an arcade flight sim and IF is focused on realism. Feels like comparing FS2020 to X-Plane 11. Since RFS has more features than IF, the devs of IF are already proposing to add more features to the sim like moving airport vehicles. Yes, RFS wins for that point when it comes to weather system, like rain and snow. But lacked of cloud types and layers. IF devs already announced that they will add weather system and other cloud types and layers to the sim. Some even speculate that it can be volumetric like in Aerofly 2. There’s the one feature that RFS is absent from its successor, Extreme Landings, is game speed, which Infinite Flight has it. Useful for timelapse videos without wasting your time. Like there’s rarely any people completed a 24hr long haul flight in RFS, which literally takes a day, and it’s kinda sucked. Most airports in RFS are quite buggy, and they haven’t been fixed since it’s release, like the airport textures are literally under the ground and an airport on a buggy deep hole. Plus, you can’t spawn on ramps at non-HD airports. I wish RFS should’ve stick to the Extreme Landings HUD, as the RFS hud is copied from RFS. It was a lot more fun and immersive. Not to mention that it still uses the outdated game engine from Extreme Landings in 2013, the area is sometimes way too dark even in summer seasons at day time. The scenery is basically autogenerated. The physics in IF aren’t good, but still better than RFS. In RFS, the plane still points nose up when stalling straight to the ground, which the players are complaining since the release. The problem is fixed, but it’s still sucked. IF has more cameras than RFS and you can save replays. The freecam is very hard to use in RFS, and it’s only designed to follow the aircraft. Nobody’s talking about that the sound when you retract/extend the landing gears and flaps are reused from Extreme Landings from 2013. I hate the fact that they use the same generic gauges on every aircraft like the 787, 737 Max, and A350. They just slapped on it and stretched it, and nobody is allowed to ask why. There are some sort of sound bugs like you can hear the sound of ground rain splashes in the air. In reality, you wouldn’t hear it. And in cinematic camera modes, the engine audio sfx are played on the screen, not dynamically from a plane. It only applies to AI and players’ planes in singleplayer and multiplayer mode respectively. There are 3D buildings in RFS. Good point. And Infinite Flight is currently working to add 3D buildings to New York City as they leaked it in their instagram a year ago. Here’s my conclusion. RFS feels unfinished because it’s just a rereleased of Airline Commander, which the scenery textures across the three flight sims are pretty much the same, but with more added but some are broken airports. They haven’t updated it since its release, they just keep adding more minor features to the sim.
Wow that was more than ‘some thoughts’ lol, I see what you are saying- rortos did take a lot of features from its previous games into rfs and haven’t changed it yet, and yes In terms of realism, IF probably wins. It is kind just really hard to compare the two as they both have there ups and downs. Also, rfs has a lot more updates than IF (almost once every 2 weeks) so they are improving still, but I do see what you are saying.
On the other hand infinite flights night lighting is awful and you have to go into a dark room to barely see the taxiways,Landing/taxi lights don’t do anything and are basically useless.every plane in rfs has some sort of custom sound like the 787 sounds different then the a380 however in IF the 787 family /717/a320 family/767/a380/a220/a340/E-jets all of them use the same engine sounds also all the planes I just mentioned don’t even have a working primary flight display so you have to use a HUD wich you would never use on most of these planes.the extreme turbulence is terrible in IF and can make you stall super fast even going at a super tiny vertical speed.Hey ive been playing IF for over 3yrs so Ihave been through the dumps w this sim and if you play it cool beans just my thoughts on things ppl often overlook
@@avigunderson6750 Basically you never flew the reworked planes in IF which they have a different unique sound. Also the sound quality of engines in RFS are awful because they’re not 3D, not dynamic, and they’re compressed. Also the update has just came out to add the night lighting in it.
Infinite flight used to be 5 dollars, and for buying one aircraft back in the day, it was in the range of 5 dollars to 2 dollars. Now they changed that amount where you can have every aircraft if you pay multiplayer for 10 dollars a month.
Hello, when I land, how do I record that landing? It means that when I land at that airport, I return from the same airport, but I return from the first airport.
Infinite flight is better because flying an airplane is not just about take off and landing. Their are different phases of flight. With infinite flight, u get to choose different departure procedures when flying out of an airport which is necessary in real world flying. U get to do instrument flying, calculate your weight, fuel, winds, wind gusts and all of that
@speed bird 9: Yeah they just made an update and it's not as advanced as infinite flight but yes you can now use advanced flight planning they been having flight planning but its improved and now you can change the altitude like if and rfs you even have a catering crew as well with the other ground procedures you were talking about
You made this video about two weeks too early. IF 22.4 update is now out. One thing I do like with RFS is their landing lights are actually of use and make a difference.
I Fly RFS, which is steadily rolling out updates, some are great, some are gimicky and yes the weather effects and general night time lighting effects or lack off when you over fly villages, towns and cities and major roads need improving without any doubt, but for a portable simulator you can't grumble too much; I have also used IF, which I did like, but stopped using it when it became unsupported by either Amazon or IF on the Fire HDX, that's another story....................

I think that when Infinite flight realises there update on Monday including the ground services and taxi lights, the discussion is officially over in my opinion. The only major thing rfs had an advantage in was the ground services, and now that infinite flight wil have them it would be a game changer, in my opinion. 1=Aerofly fs2022 2=Infinite flight 3=Real flight simulator 4= X plane mobile and 5 is flight advanced

Why IF do the legacy plane? Its just stupid they can just rework it, my favourite planes like a380 and other, have the same look as i played 3-4 years ago, i know that to rework all of that aircraft will take a lot of time, but there is another question, why they rework for example 777, 757, and why they still do not rework 787, if they do that, i should buy the subscription, but now I won't
I like infinite flight because its has great graphics and cool plane liveries and more airports and autopilot settings. I don'tlike RFS because it has not enough airports and more planes, I also don' like some of the thousand liveries because I didn't see them in real life.

RFS has allot more controls and ATC commands. I wish Infinite Flight had those, then I would definitely choose Infinite Flight as favorite Android flight simulator.
one thing that i hate from RFS is the tone color they had is like a freakin Iran War movie it’s like yellow-ish, on other side IF more like blue-ish and it’s make if way more realistic
i think rfs cuz rfs has smoke when u touch down and infinite dasent and rfs if u land witout weels there will come a little sparkaling things under the engine and body ;team rfs
RFS is better then you need to give 99 cent (im dont from usa then i dont know how many usd dollar is) and then multiplayer is free and the world is realistick and cargos and passengers can i see (sorry i cant english i am bad😢)
I’m not hating this but ur being very biased towards things like graphics a liveries. Yes they have more liveries but infinite flight planes look so much better than rfs. The things u say are really biased especially about realism, infinite flight is so much more realistic because of the physics and u said rfs won because they had A yoke, which seems pretty stupid I just think u shouldn’t be biased and make a real one.
I am sorry I don’t mean to be biased but I did say that rfs won that compassion- not necessarily in general but I always said it was close and infinite flight won in some ways. Also, I don’t play infinite flight too much so I don’t know all the features so I guess in a way it was an unfair comparison I apologise.
I have recently had pro subscription to both, and here is my review of them if you ask me: IF pros: - Extremely realistic modelling of sky, sea and objects at distance so that screenshots look like real-life photographs in most cases - Aircraft looking more realistic with better texture - A bit more realistic engine sounds - High-quality live cockpit designs for some airplanes (e.g., A350, B777 but currently except for A380 and B747) - Autopilot is a bit more realistic as you should set VNAV and LNAV separately and use them during different stages of your flight - Real flight plans can be copied and pasted from database of real flights - Realistic airports with better buildings, jet bridges and towers - Interior drone camera option allows players to move around the cabin and cargo area, both of which are modeled rather well. In the case of B777-F, there is a small kitchen and a huge cargo area to walk around. - Exterior drone camera option allows players to get a better spotting spot at airports - Trim is adjustable unlike in RFS IF cons: - No taxi (plane's own), cockpit, cabin and logo lights - Landing lights are literally useless as they are unrealistically unable to illuminate the runway - No live cockpits for popular airplanes such as A380 and B747 - Stars are too bright and visible in the night sky - Night is too dark - No city lights - No GPWS sounds (e.g., pull up terrain, bank angle, retard etc.) - No smokes from tires upon touchdown - No smoke coming from the plane during flight at certain altitudes - No 3D buildings in cities (at least landmarks are expected) - No weather conditions (stormy, rainy, snowy etc.) - No ground staff walking or driving around (ground vehicles have currently no drivers) - No cloud formations in the sky (e.g., cumulus, mammatus etc.) - No checklists - No anti-ice treatment - Aircraft doesn't get damaged upon moving out of the runway into grass area. If anything, they can "jump" into the sky like a balloon in some cases and you can even take off from the grass without problem - No pilot and cabin crew announcements - No first officer confirming "V1, rotate" or similar stuff - No shaking of the cockpit area while the aircraft speeds up along the runway for takeoff - No failures - No passengers boarding the plane, no cargo or catering being carried into the plane - Much fewer liveries for aircraft - The control of the aircraft is too easy, e.g., they turn, pick up speed or climb unrealistically easily no matter how heavy they are. It's such that I almost wouldn't need any flaps for a heavily loaded B747 during takeoff, which feels like a butterfly. - Some airplane companies and types are missing, e.g. B767 and Cathay Pacific Cargo in the case of B747 - No specifying V1 speed so you don't know when to take off - No emergencies RFS pros: - The control of aircraft is more realistic and you feel the bulkiness of a heavy one, e.g., I failed to take off four times with a heavily loaded B747 because the runway fell short and v1 speed wasn't achieved - Failures - Individual and layered cloud formations, although poorly modelled, that gives you the feeling of getting closer to the cloud layer during climb and getting on top of it - Weather conditions (stormy, snowy etc.) - 3D buildings around airports - Unlike in IF, cities have satellite images which also changes during night time - Night sky is more realistic with less visible and sparse stars - Satellite imagery includes nighttime so you get some city lights - Taxi, cockpit, cabin and logo lights - Passengers boarding the plane, drivers for ground vehicles, cargo being carried into the plane - Hundreds of liveries for aircraft (e.g., Barcelona livery for Qatar Airways or Batman livery for Turkish Airlines etc.) - Live cockpits for almost all aircraft - Exterior inspection before flight and a checklist for it - Specifies V1 speed so you know when to take off - Emergencies and their announcements - Ambulance and fire truck for ground emergencies (e.g., engine fire) RFS cons: - Buildings lack texture, are less realistic and lego-like - There are prominent lines in satellite images like a different layer, which kills realism - Unlike in IF, modelling of sky and horizon is poor and in squares where there are loading screens when you cross one to another - Some terrains are copy-paste, which kills realism - Engine sounds are not realistic - Aircraft has poor texture even with high settings on - Night is too dark - Failure mechanism may work stupidly (e.g., I once got a total of 5 different emergencies in 5 minutes and they were set to low probability)
Yes those are some really good points. One thing that u have said and what I do love about IF is the aircraft- they just look so realistic! I do think that the 3D buildings are good in the city in rfs but yes, they do look more brick like than IF. Thanks for your thoughts, they were very interesting!
i would like to add that some of the IF cons you mentioned such as "No GPWS sounds" " No shaking of the cockpit area while the aircraft speeds up along the runway for takeoff" "No pilot and cabin crew announcements" "No first officer confirming "V1, rotate" or similar stuff" and finally "No specifying V1 speed so you don't know when to take off" you can get all of that in various third party applications for infinite flight such as infinite passengers, IF operations and IF assistant. Infinite passengers allows you to include cabin crew announcements, pilot mentioning V1, and GPWS sounds. IF assistant does the more pilot stuff such as first officer announcements, GPWS, runway awareness system that sends various alerts and others. And finally IF operations gives you a detailed flight report on the flights progress what you have done. So for all the cons you mentioned, you can very easily do in infinite flight by just downloading the apps i mentioned
@@united1super544 I have been using only IF Passengers but I would prefer the game itself to have such features because 1) airline-specific announcements require paid subscription to IF Passengers and 2) having another app running in the background may increase the possibility of the game crashing.
@@cumhurbabaoglu2585 yeah, memory issues can be a problem when you are having to run 3 apps while also running infinite flight, that’s why you gotta have sufficient memory on your phone in order to use all three at the same time. However infinite passengers is good enough in itself so yeah. I do agree that it should be already implemented in infinite flight rather than having to spend money. For example for IF assistant, to buy everything in the app, you could be looking at spending 15 extra pounds in my case, on top of the 75 pounds am already spending for an IF subscription which is ridiculous. You also have to buy IF operations which is I think 5 pounds, and the subscription for infinite passengers. Basically you have to spend money to have a realistic experience, sorta pay to play. That’s why RFS is also good, because it doesn’t use that much memory compared to infinite flight and it supports basically almost every device, as infinite flight updates can mean your device isn’t compatible anymore.
Tbh both are terrible since they use the same text to speech bot And a 15 yr old flight sim FSX were sounds a lot more human Btw IF atc management has more features

I agree with just about everything, but im one of the few that lasted 24hr without turing off my phone - Auckland to Paris, 24h flight.

yeah, rfs seems unfinished cause it was created in 2019 so only been here for 3 years and infinite flight 9 years and Rfs still won

Yes I agree. There are a lot of bugs, but rortos is trying there best to fix them so every update makes it better.

I’m not hating this but ur being very biased towards things like graphics a liveries. Yes they have more liveries but infinite flight planes look so much better than rfs. I am sorry I don’t mean to be biased but I did say that rfs won that compassion- not necessarily in general but I always said it was close and infinite flight won in some ways. Also, I don’t play infinite flight too much so I don’t know all the features so I guess in a way it was an unfair comparison I apologise.
Also i totally agree about planes in infinite flight looking better- planes in rfs look awful😂 -I did put that in the vid also tho

I have recently had pro subscription to both, and here is my review of them if you ask me:
IF pros:
- Extremely realistic modelling of sky, sea and objects at distance so that screenshots look like real-life photographs in most cases
- Aircraft looking more realistic with better texture
- A bit more realistic engine sounds
- High-quality live cockpit designs for some airplanes (e.g., A350, B777 but currently except for A380 and B747)
- Autopilot is a bit more realistic as you should set VNAV and LNAV separately and use them during different stages of your flight
- Real flight plans can be copied and pasted from database of real flights
- Realistic airports with better buildings, jet bridges and towers
- Interior drone camera option allows players to move around the cabin and cargo area, both of which are modeled rather well. In the case of B777-F, there is a small kitchen and a huge cargo area to walk around.
- Exterior drone camera option allows players to get a better spotting spot at airports
- Trim is adjustable unlike in RFS
IF cons:
- No taxi (plane's own), cockpit, cabin and logo lights
- Landing lights are literally useless as they are unrealistically unable to illuminate the runway
- No live cockpits for popular airplanes such as A380 and B747
- Stars are too bright and visible in the night sky
- Night is too dark
- No city lights
- No GPWS sounds (e.g., pull up terrain, bank angle, retard etc.)
- No smokes from tires upon touchdown
- No smoke coming from the plane during flight at certain altitudes
- No 3D buildings in cities (at least landmarks are expected)
- No weather conditions (stormy, rainy, snowy etc.)
- No ground staff walking or driving around (ground vehicles have currently no drivers)
- No cloud formations in the sky (e.g., cumulus, mammatus etc.)
- No checklists
- No anti-ice treatment
- Aircraft doesn't get damaged upon moving out of the runway into grass area. If anything, they can "jump" into the sky like a balloon in some cases and you can even take off from the grass without problem
- No pilot and cabin crew announcements
- No first officer confirming "V1, rotate" or similar stuff
- No shaking of the cockpit area while the aircraft speeds up along the runway for takeoff
- No failures
- No passengers boarding the plane, no cargo or catering being carried into the plane
- Much fewer liveries for aircraft
- The control of the aircraft is too easy, e.g., they turn, pick up speed or climb unrealistically easily no matter how heavy they are. It's such that I almost wouldn't need any flaps for a heavily loaded B747 during takeoff, which feels like a butterfly.
- Some airplane companies and types are missing, e.g. B767 and Cathay Pacific Cargo in the case of B747
- No specifying V1 speed so you don't know when to take off
- No emergencies
RFS pros:
- The control of aircraft is more realistic and you feel the bulkiness of a heavy one, e.g., I failed to take off four times with a heavily loaded B747 because the runway fell short and v1 speed wasn't achieved
- Failures
- Individual and layered cloud formations, although poorly modelled, that gives you the feeling of getting closer to the cloud layer during climb and getting on top of it
- Weather conditions (stormy, snowy etc.)
- 3D buildings around airports
- Unlike in IF, cities have satellite images which also changes during night time
- Night sky is more realistic with less visible and sparse stars
- Satellite imagery includes nighttime so you get some city lights
- Taxi, cockpit, cabin and logo lights
- Passengers boarding the plane, drivers for ground vehicles, cargo being carried into the plane
- Hundreds of liveries for aircraft (e.g., Barcelona livery for Qatar Airways or Batman livery for Turkish Airlines etc.)
- Live cockpits for almost all aircraft
- Exterior inspection before flight and a checklist for it
- Specifies V1 speed so you know when to take off
- Emergencies and their announcements
- Ambulance and fire truck for ground emergencies (e.g., engine fire)
RFS cons:
- Buildings lack texture, are less realistic and lego-like
- There are prominent lines in satellite images like a different layer, which kills realism
- Unlike in IF, modelling of sky and horizon is poor and in squares where there are loading screens when you cross one to another
- Some terrains are copy-paste, which kills realism
- Engine sounds are not realistic
- Aircraft has poor texture even with high settings on
- Night is too dark
- Failure mechanism may work stupidly (e.g., I once got a total of 5 different emergencies in 5 minutes and they were set to low probability)
Yes those are some really good points. One thing that u have said and what I do love about IF is the aircraft- they just look so realistic! I do think that the 3D buildings are good in the city in rfs but yes, they do look more brick like than IF. Thanks for your thoughts, they were very interesting!
i would like to add that some of the IF cons you mentioned such as "No GPWS sounds" " No shaking of the cockpit area while the aircraft speeds up along the runway for takeoff" "No pilot and cabin crew announcements" "No first officer confirming "V1, rotate" or similar stuff" and finally "No specifying V1 speed so you don't know when to take off" you can get all of that in various third party applications for infinite flight such as infinite passengers, IF operations and IF assistant. Infinite passengers allows you to include cabin crew announcements, pilot mentioning V1, and GPWS sounds. IF assistant does the more pilot stuff such as first officer announcements, GPWS, runway awareness system that sends various alerts and others. And finally IF operations gives you a detailed flight report on the flights progress what you have done. So for all the cons you mentioned, you can very easily do in infinite flight by just downloading the apps i mentioned
@@united1super544 I have been using only IF Passengers but I would prefer the game itself to have such features because 1) airline-specific announcements require paid subscription to IF Passengers and 2) having another app running in the background may increase the possibility of the game crashing.

@@cumhurbabaoglu2585 yeah, memory issues can be a problem when you are having to run 3 apps while also running infinite flight, that’s why you gotta have sufficient memory on your phone in order to use all three at the same time. However infinite passengers is good enough in itself so yeah. I do agree that it should be already implemented in infinite flight rather than having to spend money. For example for IF assistant, to buy everything in the app, you could be looking at spending 15 extra pounds in my case, on top of the 75 pounds am already spending for an IF subscription which is ridiculous. You also have to buy IF operations which is I think 5 pounds, and the subscription for infinite passengers. Basically you have to spend money to have a realistic experience, sorta pay to play.
That’s why RFS is also good, because it doesn’t use that much memory compared to infinite flight and it supports basically almost every device, as infinite flight updates can mean your device isn’t compatible anymore.
