Brings back happy memories of my drive along the Great Ocean Drive from Adelaide to Melbourne back in 2000. I had a nice day too and rember all the places you visited in this video. From Devon in the UK Thanks so much for a super post.
@@DaneAndStacey Hi both. I remember that there was one or more of the 12 Apostles but otherwise not very muvh has changed. I vivited Loch Ard Gorge and London Bridge as well
Wow u had such amazing weather for your roadie! So jealous, when I did that trip the weather was miserable 😫 ... which just means I'll have to go back and do it again!🤣🤣
We absolutely loved it - crazy how much more of Australia we want to see and explore now! Cant wait to share the Sydney series with you, it's going to be a goodie!
This is just stunningly beautiful. Seeing the rock formations jetting out of the beach and water like that is jaw dropping! And the drive itself between stops is beautiful too. This has been a great series and I'm sad it's almost over. But looking forward to what is next! 😎
Isn't it wild? Nature is craaaazy! So glad you've been enjoying the series, we just uploaded the final vlog but you have the Sydney series to look forward to and just between us, we've got some EPIC stuff planned!
So beautiful! Gibdons steps story reminds me of the story of how the Minack Theatre was formed in Penzance in Cornwall where a lady and her gardener created an open air theatre on the side of a rock overlooking the Atlantic ocean. They put on fabulous shows there all with the backdrop of the Atlantic behind the stage. You must check it out if you come to the UK again, but do take a big puffy coat and blanket coz it gets very nippy up there! Xxx
I’m from Victoria and have been on this drive but so enjoyed watching videos of your trip through Melbs and the great ocean road. You guys are great guides!
Many years ago The 12 Apostles was just a simple carpark on the ocean side like Gibsons Steps but the increasing popularity made a larger carpark and toilets necessary on the other side of the road. As you found it!
Looks great! Really looking forward to watching this with the misses over a glass of sumthing sumthing or a couple of beerzies :-D come weekend time . Always a highlight of the week! Hope you do more NZ stuff as well when you get back, loved those food tours and winery tours you did. Much love from Norway!
Harriet and I have visited the Twelve Apostles. Isn't it stunning? Port Campbell has that hometown local feel. Great job guys. Hope you are doing well. How is Nalu doing ? Sending you much love 🙏❤🙏 Harriet, Jim and Yuki . Richmond, Va.
Have you! It's just breathtaking, I (Stacey) was literally lost for words! Nalu is doing great thanks, he's been spending quality time with his grandparents while we've been away but we get daily updates which is nice. Hope you're both doing well, and little Yuki too!
Always great videos from u two.. wish i have the chance to visit gor again. Perhaps with my mom and i dont want to join tours anymore. Ill rent a car so i can stop anywhere i want.
D & S, Wow guys what an amazing video of the Australian coastline! I loved it, Thanks for sharing. I also love your channel, you two are the cutest couple on TH-cam! "Gog and Magog" are land or people groups in the Bible (Ezekiel 38:2), The beaches in Australia are a cross between the "Big Surf" beach in California and the beaches in Washington and Oregon. You two should do a road trip vlog of the beaches of the west coast North America from BC, Washington, Oregon, California ending up in Baja peninsula of Mexico. Cheers 🍕🍕🍧🍧☕☕🍺🍺🧔
Grumpy old man here. Tried to do the great Ocean road a couple of years back. The amount of cyclists on that road gave me terrors. Every twist and turn on that road there were bloody cyclist's. I'm having a relapse....gotta go.
You might like to know there was never 12 of the Apostles. It was originally called the Sow and Piglets, and there were only 9 stacks. They renamed it to The Apostles in 1922 for tourism purposes, and eventually it came to be known as The 12 Apostles

Gosh but you had *gorgeous* weather!

@@DaneAndStacey haha had to happen eventually, Melbourne is soooo notorious for our weather!
Good old Aussie initiative. Yeah nah I can't go for a swim on that beach, guess its time to pull a jackhammer and saw out. 🤣🤣
We went over the Great Ocean Road in May this year. Thouroughly enjoying it again through your videos. Many of the places you are going, we went.

You say that now but wait til you see the next vlog 😂 it ends rather abruptly because of the rain! (just uploaded it!)
Love your enthusiasm, looks beautiful!
Thanks Christina!

We went there! Totally forgot about that story though, thanks for reminding us! We couldn't believe how windy it was, but it's soooo beautiful!
Loch Ard Gorge is a great place and underrated IMO. The beach down there is cute and there are caves to explore as well.
It's a stunning spot! We're definitely coming back in summer ☀
@@DaneAndStacey awesome! Enjoy. Keep up the great vids!

In summer - the number of international tourists is staggering. It needed that carpark and setup.
That makes sense, it was so well set up (once we found it!)
I sure miss Great Ocean Road...
This make me miss Great Ocean Road so much
Beautiful video again !
Too kind, thank you!

did you get some permit for the drone footage at 13 apostles?

Well that's a let down 😂
Where did you stay from the 3 day to the 4 day ?
Gibson beach is gorgeous!
Don't know why they're called Gog and Magog, but I believe those are names of kings in the Old Testament part of the Bible
Isn't it stunning 🤩 the scale is just insane, makes you feel teeny tiny once at the bottom of the steps!
I walked across London Bridge about a week before it collapsed... had a major WTF moment after seeing it on the news the day it happened...
That's crazy! Could have been you stranded out there 😂
rapidly disappearing. get in quick!
