Well, he's at fault. I had always known he would cheat. If he hadn't thought about cheating then he wouldn't have arrogantly gone to kiss the other girl towards the ending, like what was he trying to prove? The fact that he tend to brush off Noah's fears is kinda annoying. If he hadn't thought of cheating from get go, he wouldn't have kissed the other girl, rather he would have thrown a tantrum or just left. And as for Noah, well i won't really blame her, though she is also at fault for going to sleep with Michael but girl has been refusing him since because she knew she has a man and she loves her man. Even when she was tipsy and he tried kissing her, she had brushed him away but as for Nick he rather checked the other girl's ass from the beginning, giving her quite a lot of attention than his main girl and even went ahead to lie about the other girl's appearance just because he doesn't want Noah to be jealous like wth? You already thought of cheating.
Am i the only one who finds Noah to be the red flag for interfering with Nick's privacy and calling his mom to their home even after Nick told her to respect his decision of ignoring his mom. Nick is in the wrong for kissing the girl but Noah is even more in wrong for doing that. Like if my partner cannot respect my decision it is a dealbreaker.
In the books, I can’t remember exactly why, but Noah’s actions were very sensible and validated. IMO, the movie was as good as the book, but a lot of key themes and scenes from the book were not mentioned in the movie, making it quite different. But your right, Noah was also in the wrong for inviting his mother without telling him, but I personally think it was wanting to know more about Nick after he didn’t defend her during the dinner with Sophia.
But Nick also misbehaved when he didn’t tell Noah that Briar was his ex, despite her being roommates with Briar. He didn’t directly lie, but he did omit the truth so it was a taste of his own medicine when Noah saw Nick’s mother behind his back.
Okay spoiler alert.!!! In books maggi(nick's sister) was supposed to come to live with nick and noah for a whole week( Nd in book nick was actually insistent to noah for live in relation, noah mother blackmailed her that she'll not pay her fees nd she won't get scholarship as William was rich). Their mother agreed first time for this so it was very big deal for nick seeing at home she was ignored due to their parents divorce and her detoring health conditions. But the twist was that nick's mother contacted nd blakmailed noah to come nd meet her yes noah went to meet her nd she also asked her to come alone as she wanted to use that against her later. As noah saw that for nick it was imp that maggi come nd live with them nd she even tried to tell him but whenever anything related to his mother came he became closed of. So that's why noah goes alone. Plus it was related to her past also as her mother was also involved so she went there for her also.

His mom came back and tried talking to Nick but he didn’t want to because he thought she abandoned him and so his mom talked Noah into letting her in the house and found papers his mom filed for custody of him but nicks grand father wouldn’t let that happened because he had proof she cheated on Nick dad but it turned out Nicks dad was having an affair with Noah mom first and while Noah was looking at the pictures of her mom and nicks affair nicks mom went up to the bathroom to take nicks dads toothbrush Nick and Noah started having trust issues because their parents where trying to split them up Noah didn’t trust Nick with his ex and Nick didn’t trust the dude she was working with and at a party Nicks mom came by with a DNA test from that toothbrush she took proving that Nicks half sister is actually his full sister from when his dad and mom hooked up before the divorce she wanted to make sure her daughter was taken care of because of her split from her current husband he also found out his dad was sleeping with Noahs mom before his parents got divorced and how his grandfather kept his mom away from him Noah told them how she helped his mom get the toothbrush because she brought her into the house and gave her access Nick didn’t take all this well and blamed Noah for helping his mom basically broke up with her walked away from from her and Noah followed him and Nick kissed his ex right in front of her and left with her so Noah went to that dudes house Nick regretted what he did and texted her he loved her and he was sorry the dude had her phone and didn’t tell her he texted her she leaned on his shoulders and the kissed and then had sex you could tell Noah regretted it she left the dudes house and Nick was waiting for her in the rain he could tell what she had done obviously they just looked at each other and didn’t say a word to each other she just kept walking and he drove off them she went to her dads grave and she saw writing from Nick on the gravestone and started crying then she left and that was the end
Had a very high expectations from the 2nd part and the result was “total waste of time”.. The chemistry between lead was missing.. The story made no sense and extra characters was jat there to fill gapes in the story.. Didn’t expect ths from makers.. Very disappointing..
