@@DadItYourselfDIY Oh, that's actually kind of far. Well, I'll see if I can make it. & if not. oh well. Anyway, Thank you. :) Also, Great Job with the Wheel! 😁
There is a bunch of information out there in forums about the actual wheel. I was able to download the number font and then manipulate it in my different software packages to carve and print it. famfonts.com/price-is-right/
Hey, great job with the wheel, looks awesome!! You inspired me to renovate my wheel I have at my house, but have come to a dead end on the chaser lights. How did you do it?
Can you please provide more detail on the spinning mechanism? Im building something similiar. I tried using swivel plates on each side of the wheel but the spin is inadeuate. It looks like ill need a metal rod for an axel going all the way through. I just dont understand what type of flange to get and how i fasten to the sides. Any links you could share for the flange and fasteners would be really appreciated
I used a 400hz piezo from Amazon (smoke alarm) never got it perfect. Needs to be 480hz with the right "decay". Probably with and Arduino. amzn.to/45XhKmr
Makes you appreciate more of the work done back in the 70s when the Price -CBS crew did not have the CCA/CIC equipment -Is this the same wheel that is located at a farm in Pennsylvania where there is also a cornfield maze replica of Mr. Barker?
A piezo and a 9v battery. There are magnets on the side that trigger it. Check out my second video. I used a 400hz piezo, but the chime is actually 480hz.
Great job guys! It looks really awesome!!! Is it possible to create the left and right sides with a scoreboard to make it look even more authentic? I'm sure there's a space issue already as it is and you're tired of this project LOL
We currently do not have A plan set. But for reference it's an 8' 20-sided (icosahedron) and it's 2' wide. It was made using a CNC and plywood, the skinned with 1/4" MDF. The font for the numbers is called "Playdown"
It can easily be scaled. 7' would make the transportation a little easier, but it doesn't affect the price very much. An assembled wheel is about $8000.00 plus transportation.
Probably not. This was a one off for a contest we were in. The Wheel of Fortune wheel is 16' in diameter and weighs 2500 pounds. Where would we even put it.
This looks amazing! Great job everybody who participated in the build!
Thanks! We are pretty proud of it!!
WOW! That’s so good!
Thanks!
By far the coolest build ever. Would die to have this.
$12000 and we will build one for you. Delivery included.
Would you sell the plans or just the cut out parts? I’d need it 7’ though.
AMAZING!!!
Thanks! I think it's pretty cool too!
That's really good💯
Thanks!
Oh my Gosh!.... I'd wish I could Spin it right Now! 😃 PS: 1.00/10 👍
Nice! Well if you are anywhere near Pennsylvania, it will be on display in September for Bob Barker's 100th Birthday!
@@DadItYourselfDIY I'm in New Jersey, is that near? (I mean Ik it is. but is it near to the location of the display.)

Thanks for your help. Come on down, it's sitting in my driveway!!
What did you use as a guide for the scale of the wheel?
What font did you find for the numbers? Got a link?

Sure. We used a 3/4" steel rod supported by pillow blocks on a stand.

It is the same wheel. I drove it there myself!
@@DadItYourselfDIY wow that's really cool-I thought it might be the same!
It was really cool seeing it in use.
I want one!
We can custom build one for you for $8,000.00 plus delivery and setup.

You are officially known as the guy that made a price is right wheel lol. You deserve so many more views and subs, keep up the good work!
Thanks!
Hey, @DadItYourselfDIY! It’s me, Connor! I have a question for you, can you do another price is right project known as a cliffhangers game?
@connorreigel3692 I can probably build just about anything. But only if someone is paying me to do it.
Okay. Can you explain how it’s done in words?
@connorreigel3692 Are you asking me to write a blog showing how I built the wheel?

I'm still adding stuff. I have the left and right wings, just haven't painted them etc.
Any way to rent this wheel for games or for videos ?
It was sold in July 2022. Contact me if you would like to purchase your own.
yes of course something of this quality should have been sold but yes
I’m really interested how much does it coast a wheel like that?

....If THE PRICE IS RIGHT!!!
@JEFF_F. That is correct!
How about a Wheel of Fortune wheel?
16 feet in diameter, I don't have the space for that!

Oopsie…
I got overexcited…
It is exciting!
Can you make a Price is Right Plinko Game?
I probably could. How much is your budget?
@@DadItYourselfDIY probably a few thousands maybe?
This wheel is worth $5000. Plinking may be in the 2500-3000K range depending on detail. Would nor include shipping/delivery.
Are you able to share the plans you used to make this project? I want to try to recreate this at a 50% to 75% scale for an office Halloween party.

Did I see you on the stage at price is right live last night
You did not.. but I have that kind of face. 🤣🤣
I’d love to buy one that’s 7’ tall. Is this something you’d be willing to take on?

Will you guys make a 1:1 Wheel of Fortune Wheel?
Probably not. This was a one off for a contest we were in. The Wheel of Fortune wheel is 16' in diameter and weighs 2500 pounds. Where would we even put it.
You guys should do the wheel of fortune wheel
16 feet in diameter and 2500 pounds, no thank you.
@@DadItYourselfDIY I didn’t realize it was that big
@thecausalgamer7916 Yeah, we considered it first.
make a wheel of fortune
It's sooooo.. Big! 16 feet in diameter!
@@DadItYourselfDIY YOU CAN DO IT!!!!! 🙂
Ahaha!
Excellent work I am a price is right collector would it be possible to commission you to build another.

You should make a wheel of fortune wheel, but don't put it in your house. put it outside
It doesn't fit inside. I had it in my driveway for six weeks, including Independence Day. Everyone took a turn with it.
Can you make that for me! I want that so badly! I live at 23 Montello Road, Sinking Spring, Reading, PA, 19608
I sold it to a guy in Pennsylvania. Email me.
@@DadItYourselfDIY How did you sold it
@@DadItYourselfDIY should I go to my local diy store and tell them to make it?
