You missed the part at the end in the credits where it said all unworn undergarments were donated to survivors of domestic violence through I Support The Girls organization!
@@bhanesidheare you really doing that? Of course most reactors will miss it since they don't read the credits and here you are pointing out the male reactors... I assure you some of the female reactors have also missed it
It is a cheeky joking song. Someone who deals with mental health should realize women who are abused need to stand up for themselves and take control. This is what they are doing. It is not about their sexual orientation but celebrating sexual expression and freedom to speak openly without shame about enjoy sex.
The original of this song didn't include billie and comes for a Charli XCX album in which she talks a lot about her fiancé George. She's not trying to "get" anything, she's just celebrating the sex life already has (and I think also alluding to the way fans seem obsessed by female singers boddies). I also think that it's so beautiful and healing that she invited Billie for this. As a queer person I think it's nice to see a straight and a queer person feeling comfortable discussing desire together. I'm actually a bit shocked to see a therapist that's this uncomfortable with women talking about sex
I dont think he is shocked by the sexual part of the video and the song but by the visuals in the video, it looks like a house where people are doing drugs and probably not the healthiest things, the connotation that this is more about hookup culture than it is about free sexual expression, the song is a commentary and its meant to be shocking so I think its normal for an older man to feel a bit uncomfortable when a younger artsit that they see more in a wholesome and non sexual way comes out so assertively. he's like a grandpa who discovered their granddaughters dating profile on accident 😂
Completely agree. I get this not being your cup of tea or even being shocked at the blunt lyrics but I’d like to think that a therapist could put aside their our biases. This reaction felt very close to shaming. Why can’t some songs just be sexy and fun? Also, why can’t Billie and Charlie be talking to their partners? Why can’t women speak openly about sex and desire both seriously and in a very cheeky, over the top way without it being treated like it’s a blight on their careers? Also, Tom normally analyzes things much closer but the fact that he even missed the part at the end, saying that all on the unworn underwear was being donated to domestic violence shelters, tells me he’d written the entire thing off. Also, I’m sorry, I have nothing against religious beliefs. I respect those that respect others but comparing this to Sodom and Gomorrah and saying “Just don’t do any of this” is not compassionate, understanding, or respectful, it’s a middle aged white guy shaming two young women who have both been through a lot of trauma, including relationship trauma, who wanted to create a fun, silly, and freeing song about sexual desire. This was a disappointing reaction, ESPECIALLY from a therapist.
Women owning their sexuality and using it as a tool is a very empowering feminine experience. I used to feel so small knowing that men thought of me so sexually (male friends, teachers, role models all did it to me)… The only way to take back my power is to accept the fact that people sexualize you constantly and to use it against them. Is what it is
@@TheLoullas I'm a lesbian and would go out on dates with my fiance a lot.... every time we went out a guy would hit on us, buy us a drink, do a little song and dance ... all in the hopes of sleeping with one of us. We would always say "stop" "leave my girlfriend alone" "we are together" "no" and it NEVER WORKED. It only seems to get them more motivated... eventually we started accepting the free gifts and telling them to go screw when we wanted because those men (men who cant take no for an answer) deserve to be objectified as a means to an end, exactly the way they would objectify us as a lesbian couple. That is not even the worst of it..... A LOT of Men do not respect women, especially lesbian women. One time my gf had a party and a guy who kept hitting on my girlfriend offered to clean up after the party (he thought he was gonna get laid lol), after he was done taking out the trash my girlfriend went up to bed and I had the great pleasure of telling him to fuck off (he had been following her around allllllll night and actually thought he was going to spend the night). i told him "thanks for cleaning up but we dont know you, you cant stay here. get the fuck out, i dont care where the hell you go" he thought he was going to spend the night with my gf because he had been following her around all night smh.
i would encourage you to look into more of charli's music, she's an incredible songwriter, she expresses vulnerability in very beautiful ways, also she has an incredible ear for melodies and production. Guess is almost one of a kind in her discography since she doesn't usually tackles sexuality in this explicit way (i love how explicit guess is btw, i adore female empowerment through sexual liberation). So, yeah, check out her latest album 'brat' if you feel like it, i can assure you that you'll find plenty of interesting ideas, both lyrically and musically, to dive into.
I actually can't this is the best reaction video I've ever seen. "I think I might have clicked on the wrong video" AND THAT LOOK AT THE CAEMRA I'M DYING 😂😂😂
😂did u see how red toms face was? Lol😂ur funny tom! But as someone said u missed what was gonna happen with the mound of bras and underwear! 🩲🩲 Good cause! #guess 🎉😂
From this album, I think songs like 'sympathy is a knife', 'i might say something stupid', 'so i', 'girl, so confusing' + 'the girl, so confusing version with lorde' and 'i think about it all the time' might be more your cup of tea! (the 'girl, so confusing' and the 'the girl, so confusing version with lorde' especially, maybe) (and I highly recommend for you to not watch Troye Sivans 'Rush', however if you do I'll be here asap)
Hi all. Dudes (mainly) wrote the song, made the vid, and directed. The donation is a front for yet again, predatory guys. Expect a metoo for the male crew.
Gotta remind a little of the last moments of the song that kinda call out fans in those weird parasocial relationships with celebrities. "You wanna guess what me and Billie have been texting about (you've been disrespectful) you wanna guess the password to my google drive (are you obsessed with me?) you wanna guess the address of the party we're at (you're really not invited)"
I’m sorry but your discomfort was so bloody funny, I watched the video twice and showed it to my wife. I agree with you, it’s not my cup of tea, and the fact that I love Billie so much makes up for a lot of the song. But I don’t really agree with what you said about healthy relationships, she’s just celebrating being a sexual person. As someone else commented, it’s also nice to see us queers be included in such a context. The first two parts are kinda stuck in my head, though, I must admit, even though I’m not particularly happy about it, the beat is definitely catchy. The third part of the song is really not my thing sonically, and I do like edm also, and used to go to raves as a teenager in the early 2000s. But this particular sound was uncomfortable for me, more like a painful noise than like a sound. It’s kinda fun, up until then. It reminds me a little bit of I’m a slave 4 u by Britney, video party wise, and the fashion (ugh why) from that era as well. I don’t understand why teenagers / the industry always want to cycle through the bad fashion choices we used to make ourselves back in the day, why don’t you learn from our mistakes? 😆
DO ALL OF THIS…They’re literally joking with each other. That’s why the last line of the song is. Guess if we’re serious about this song also they’re normalizing what you like there’s nothing wrong with that. If you don’t tell the person you’re having relations with what you want what you like what you don’t like very clearly and openly like this song then you’re not comfortable in your relationship and not ready to do those kind of things
I like how he didn’t realize that when Billie says “Charlie call me if you’re with it” is in reference to the beginning of the song that starts with Charlie calling Billie “Billie, are you there?” 😂
Listen to the entire song in one go THEN go back through the song with your commentary and perspective. Let the artists speak before you interrupt them. Goodness gracious
