Ok you guys, in response to all the "are they dating/married/together" questions and comments...there's the reality of their private lives and there is the image for the public. We (the public), don't get to know the reality of their private lives unless we are literally directly involved with one or both of them. Everything else--everything--is carefully crafted by the person/people in charge of their image. Scott and Mitch are the "available playboys" of PTX, that is the image that is helping PTX and now Superfruit sell music. If they were together in real life and "allowed" to be public about that, we (the Kids), wouldn't be anxiously watching them for any evidence of flirting or tension between them. If we weren't watching all the time, we would be less likely to listen and buy the music. If they were attached (and monogamous) with anyone in public, it would change the image. Kirstin can be attached and monogamous, because her image is "the good girl." Avi could have been attached and monogamous while in PTX because his image was "the sweet and sensitive guy" and everyone wants that guy to be in love. Kevin can be attached and monogamous because his image is "the deeply religious, principled one." But Scott and Mitch must be available and at the parties because that is their image. They might all be inclined towards those things anyway and probably are, but upholding those images is now part of their jobs. These two people, whether they are in love with each other or other people or no one have to keep "the Kids" guessing and watching and listening. Listen to Mitch at the beginning of this video--Scott asks if they should kiss and Mitch says "we can't." Not "I don't want to." They have a publicist team guiding them through what they can and can't do or say in camera. I love watching this stuff for the game they're playing--they are so good at walking their line here and so good at what they do! I hope they are together if it makes them happy, and if they're not, I hope they really do enjoy each other's company as much as they make it look like they do, because it's part of their job to be that sweet with each other and keep us guessing!

I would encourage them to talk about their dates with other people to maintain that "available" image. And I would encourage them and other members of the PTX team (Kevin and Papa Grassi, I'm looking at you) to fan the flames of speculation on whether or not they are together because look at us! The Kids can't get enough of wondering about it! 😋 And the best part is, of course they're not faking their affection for one another.
