Degree is important..?
@@TheAliyt56Generally, it is. A degree or some form of education that demonstrates the knowledge and skills needed. As in anything, there’ll someone who didn’t need a degree but that’s not the norm

Thank you for sharing. I am very interested in AI Ethics. My degree is in Philosophy but I have no knowledge of programming. Can I still work in AI Ethics?
I'm wondering the same thing. My degree is International Studies (similar to International Relations), but I love technology. Who's your favorite philosopher?
@@Spence-from-Seattle Don' t really have a favorite but I do appreciate utilitarian discussion and since Bentham did include some thought on animals and I am a supporter of animal welfare I might include him as a Proctor to some degree in an ethical debate. I do have a preference for Philosophers who argue for the rights of animals in general.
@SusanSingsSongs You already have a foundation in philosophy, which is good, allowing you to understand the core principles. You do need to add to it; a tech foundation, and then basic programming, and how AI works in business. But you don’t need to be a programmer. Yes, you can work in AI ethics. Yes; you can, through a guided transition plan. If I may ask, what aspects (area or function of use) of technology do you like. I don’t really have a favorite philosopher; each one seems to build or argue from on another’s ideas.
