Yes I would. Nades have a much higher instant burst with grenade barrage and shrapnel (#2). For stuff like this video, you need to spike enemy groups as quickly as possible so they can't react. Poison nades (#5) are also unblockable, which is required for when the enemy group starts throwing up bubbles/reflect walls. Mortars have a much longer range, but they also travel much slower than grenades, thanks to the grenadier explosives trait, again making the damage less instant and easier to avoid. If a target is stationary and you're looking at damage over time, mortar is probably not far off grenades. But in a real world scenario, grenades are stronger in my opinion.
Thanks, but Thunderclap and Electrowhirl are a large component to the damage applied to large groups, plus I only need to block if something has gone wrong. I can see using shield with System Shocker trait as part of a heal scrapper being effective, but not for this DPS style.
I use it to break bigger groups of 15+. That's the only way me and a couple of friends can win those fights. Target cap on thunderclap is limited to 5 @@ProzapGW

should consider using shield. shield 5 has no target cap and no internal cooldown on the stun

Thanks man, the build is basically all in damage! I don't want to give too much more away on the group builds :P
