Yes! As a revert I see so many Muslims who live almost as if they are ashamed of their deen and afraid of the kuffar! Be a proud Muslim!

I found myself thinking about this from a slightly different perspective. Oftentimes, reverts are treated differently when they initially come to the masjid, especially if they have some sort of “obvious distinction” (i.e., tattoos, piercings on males, etc.). We are not enemies simply because we happened to come to Islam from a different stopover in life. Unfortunately, we treat others as if that was the case. My heart hurts for my revert brothers and sisters who experience this, and I pray that the Ummah bounds itself together by faith and not by our outer appearances and our faulty judgements of others.

I hear you. Don't worry, every 'different' person experiences the wonderful ummah's 'special' treatment. Women, divorcees, poor, dark skinned, those without sons.... a million distinct ways there will always people who apparently need to find worth by ostracizing or putting others down, to find some worth (therefore apparently lacking intrinsic worth). Thick skinned discernment is the only way to go when dealing with our dear ummah brothers and sisters.

      Yes. Same here

I think it sometimes happens that they edit out a section of the audio if there is an accidental mistake in the recitation of the Qur'an. The audience will be aware of the intention at the time but people watching a short clip won't have the same contextual reference.

Salaam Alaykum all and happy Friday!
At 2:47, Ustad Nouman Ali Khan says: "not you, someone." He is emphasises that others misuse the Ayah. I watched a video he was talking about the same Ayah last year.
I think he is misinterpreting it too. In that video and this video, there is a little differences. He can something he can say now because of the genocide in Gaza, Palestine.
I encourage you to study the Quran for yourselves. Talk to different educators. And if you are from the Muslim world, you should focus on listening to your own local shaykhs rather than shaykhs in the West.
I could be wrong. Allah knows what is right.

@@Baharselam-j8m Narrated 'Ata bin Abi Rabah:
Ibn `Abbas said to me, "Shall I show you a woman of the people of Paradise?" I said, "Yes." He said, "This black lady came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, 'I get attacks of epilepsy and my body becomes uncovered; please invoke Allah for me.' The Prophet (ﷺ) said (to her), 'If you wish, be patient and you will have (enter) Paradise; and if you wish, I will invoke Allah to cure you.' She said, 'I will remain patient,' and added, 'but I become uncovered, so please invoke Allah for me that I may not become uncovered.' So he invoked Allah for her."
      Sahih Bukhari 5652
... And then that person from amongst the persons of the world be brought who had led the most miserable life (in the world) from amongst the inmates of Paradise. and he would be made to dip once in Paradise and it would be said to him. O, son of Adam, did you face, any hardship? Or had any distress fallen to your lot? And he would say: By Allah, no, O my Lord, never did I face any hardship or experience any distress.
      Excerpt from Sahih Muslim 2807
Be patient with your difficulties, certainly there is ease with it, but do not allow your faith in Allah to slip away. Allah is certainly Al-Latif, Ar-Rauf, Al-Mujib, Ar-Rahim.

@@Baharselam-j8mplease kindly take a therapy you seem to be mentally sick to achieve any good from Allah you should first trust him completely without any greed in your heart. Absolute trust is needed to feel blessed. And also Allah gave this life on earth to us.. and it will never be easy even the Prophets had to face hardships, disease , enemies so on so many things made them suffer but they didn't give up on Allah almighty. Have tawakkul in Allah. Make dua to Allah to give you patience sabr and make it easy for you. Any person in this world can guide you towards light of Islam but after that it's your own choice and will to follow the light or go back to the darkness. I pray Allah give you courage and gives you shifaa from your disease. Ameen

There isn’t much I can say but please don’t give up on Allah’s mercy brother/sister
Allah has promised in surah as-Sharh
“Indeed, with every hardship comes ease”
Allah does not break a promise.
There is a cure for every disease. I make dua for your recovery, and hope for your situation to get better InshaAllah ❤
