Thanks for putting all of thse up, Tom! There was a notable absence of reviews of these expansions - glad to see it getting remedied (apothecary pun intended).

These reviews have proved to be invaluable when it came to which expansions and what order I chose to pick them up.
Shadow of Narekhall was the first followed by the Manor of Ravens small box expansion. My group and I have greatly enjoy them and I can't wait to add more of them to my collection.
Dice Tower reviews - don't leave home without em!

Uh... I'm preeeeetty sure Lair of the Wyrm came out first, not Trollfens.

Worms cant go through doors, two sides of a door are not considered to be adjacent to one another thus you cannot count spaces through a door. This also applies to other abilities in the game such as Tomble's heroic ability.

I chose this one as my small box expansion over LotW, mostly for the unique swamp terrain and the idea of laying traps. My Plague Worms are the bane of the heroes. Bwahaha.
I like the prophet dwarf a lot, too.

This has just come out in France. A must buy with my next "fish-da-pay" :P

I know everyone asks, but if you have to buy ONE expansion, wich one would it be? And why?

Loidrial Lair of the Wyrm comes with the least stuff but it's the cheapest and works well with all other expansions so I'd recommend that first. Then after that I'd highly recommend Nerekhall because of all the great hereos and items in it, but I have yet to see anything for Manor of Ravens.

Shadow of Nerekhall is arguably the best big box expansion they've released so far. Thats my opinion but Im aware that a lot of other people share it.

A great way to chose which expansions you want to pick up is by looking into what new heroes and character classes it includes.
That was how Ive prioritized expansions. I really wanted to add the Bounty Hunter and Marshall classes to my game so Manor of Ravens was the obvious choice as the next expansion for our group.

Trollfens is the third expansion in the order, not the first

I believe the Plague Worm cannot burrow through doors.

Using the rumour cards to add extra quests into a campaign disturbs the balance of the game in favour of the heroes. This is due to extra search tokens being made available to the heroes. These small box expansions are best played as mini campaigns on their own.

I read the mini rumor based campaigns as separate mini campaigns rather than adding them to an existing, larger campaign because you're right, they do disrupt the game balance somewhat.
