This is super cool, and I'm glad you showed her getting distracted and wanting to call the training off early. It shows a more realistic scenario than we usually see on youtube

Thank you so much for this. My golden doodle is 16 months and knows how to sit. I missed this portion in her walking because she heads for neighbors or other dogs all the time. I will try this today.

Hi, could you please put a bit more focus on how to phase out the food rewards during training in your videos? Thanks

I have a little dog. How do I prevent him from always going to my other side.

I have a small dog and my balance isn't great. Is there a way to give her a traing treat with out bending all the way over every time?

Maybe try to work with a target stick plus clicker? You'd have to teach your dog to associate the clicking with treats first, but the target stick could help with leading (e.g. with the touch command), and then the clicking sound as a reward.

Hoping Instructor Steve will respond (and correct me if needed), but I've used a long-handled spatula with a bit of cream, spray cheese, cream cheese or other treat smeared on the business end. You can lower the spatula for a quick lick instead of reaching waaay down with a bit of food in your fingers or palm. Might even try taping a wooden spoon to a piece of cardboard for more length.

say "yes" or whatever your mark word is, and drop the treat on the ground.
